As the night went on, we continued talking about different things that weighed on Ian's mind, with me constantly assuring him that things will work out eventually, before switching off to lighter topics like debating about who's the biggest potterhead and reenacting Professor Snape's accent(The smarty pants is effortlessly good at it too, his accent was- let's say, making me feel things I shouldn't).

It was then I got to know about a side of Ian nobody has witnessed- not even his close friends and his mom.

He revealed that he always wanted to become a doctor, and applied to Harvard, Oxford and Yale. He specifically wanted to become a Neurologist, which is honestly something I never thought he would be interested in.

But I think it's perfectly suitable for someone like him who gets on people's nerves, especially mine on a daily basis.

I mean, being the son of the CEO of the SW corporation, one of the largest health care systems, should've atleast given that away.

(His father named the company after his mother, which I found so romantic. I guess, like father, like son).

And I guess that's the reason why he was able to cure my cold with that magic potion- aka, the poison he gave me that day.

He wouldn't let me go back home the next morning, grabbing my waist tightly and refusing to let me go. Even went as far to bribe me with his personal library, which was huge huge and contained books of various genres as well.

It required a huge amount of willpower not to give in and reside in there itself.

“Geez, okay. I guess I'll see you after winter break.” Ian sulked to which I couldn't help but smile at his expression.

“Yeah, I'll see you soon.” I hugged him before leaving, standing on my tiptoes since he's a giant.

“You spent what at his house?!” Addy screeched loudly on the phone, making me put a distance between my ear and the phone for a second.

“Shhh!” I hissed, and giggled nervously as heat rushed to my cheeks,”The night.” I replied while putting my phone to my ear again.

“Jenna Evans, and you're telling me this now?” Addy asked, her voice tinged with disbelief.

“Sorry, I didn't get the chance to say it. It happened like three days ago, besides, I was busy shopping with my parents for Christmas.” I answered, scratching my head.

I couldn't help but feel a sense of joy and comfort at the thought that my parents are finally beginning to spend more time with me. I really wish Noah would come and visit us soon.

”Did you guys….”She trailed off, hinting at something with her tone. I could already imagine her wiggling her eyebrows as her grin became more evident.
