At sixteen, Amya lost her last living relative, her grandfather. At twenty-one, she's just trying to live a quiet life. Unfortunately, after a well-meant surprise party thrown in her honor, she catches the attention of a coven of vampires once they discover she is one of the rare few whose mind can't be compelled or read. The leader, Cassian, tries to determine if she could help save his family, or kill them. It's hate on sight and she isn't going quietly. She doesn't trust the man as far as she can throw him and she won't be kept prisoner. When his family is attacked by a pack of werewolves, with Amya caught in the middle, she decides she'll be the one to finally bring peace. Cassian isn't convinced, and as the two continue to dance through a game of cat and mouse, Amya will stop at nothing to end the killing, not even love.
