Our rewrite opens up in Mission City during the final battle of our Dark of the Moon rewrite, where we see several people running and screaming from hordes of Decepticon soldiers while Megatron orders his troops to seal off the city. among the crowd of screaming civilians are the Yeager family: Cade Yeager, his wife Emily Yeager, and their seven-year-old daughter Tessa Yeager. Emily carries young Tessa in her arms before handing her to Cade, telling her husband to promise to take care of their daughter for her before the two are separated amongst the gunfire and crowds of screaming civilians. Cade grabs little Tessa and rushes through the war-torn streets of Mission City before looking up ahead to see Jetwing Optimus fly above their heads, Tessa holding her Bumblebee action figure close to her chest just before N.E.S.T. transport transport trucks arrive on the scene to evacuate the civilians. Cade and Tessa board the last transport truck before they start evacuating the city, Cade looking on in horror as the city is engulfed by explosions and fire before while shedding a tear for his wife.
