it was morning, and the sun was at its highest
the news of Princess Rhaenyra's birth of her second child was announced to the counsel and quickly spread to the people inside the castle, of course. Whisperers
everyone outside has been eager to hear about the new heir to the Iron throne
is it a boy? or a girl? is it a velar yon? or another bastard? Everyone's questions that would soon be answered
it was a mess inside the princess's chambers, the midwife was tending to Rhaenyra as she kept groaning in pain
and her hand was tightly gripping the wooden bed,

" t-the babe, I can f-feel it coming " She choked
and finally let the midwives take her to the bed, one of them prepared a warm towel and a bowl of clean water

" You're doing good your grace, just one more! " The midwife exclaimed
Rhaenyra shut her eyes tiredly and wished that this would soon finally end, she took a deep breath once again and pushed her strength out
she screamed in agony that the guards and people outside her room stopped in their tracks when hearing her scream
"I can't! " she cried
the woman looked up at her and smiled worriedly
as the others who surrounded the bed and watched the scene were also hopeful and worried
everyone hoped that the babe was healthy and in good condition
"it alright your grace, just take a deep breath and push whenever you ready, " The woman said
Rhaenyra looked up at the ceiling and continued taking deep breaths
she was tired from her labor and she felt she didn't have any strength to push the babe out of her.

then, Rhaenyra placed her both hands and gripped the sheets beside her, screaming and pushing harder so that she felt she's gonna pass out any second

"It's a girl! " the midwife announced with a big smile on her face
she immediately placed it in Rhaenyra's chest and she cried in happiness when seeing the beautiful face of her daughter for the first time
" oh she's beautiful," she said hazily
but still placed a gentle kiss on the babe's head, when hearing her cry for the first time, Rhaenyra's heart swelled with happiness knowing that her daughter was delivered safely and healthy.
One midwife who was wiping off the blood from the babe noticed that she had a silver lock like from her parents and a glowing mix colored skin
it made the woman stop in her tracks when realizing that the babe was not a bastard like everyone thought, instead.

The babe stopped crying after a few seconds and began blinking her eyes, she soon calmed down when feeling the warmth presence of her mother
until suddenly someone knocked on the door
Rhaenyra watched the handmaiden walk inside her chambers, looking worried.
" Your grace, the queen requested for the babe to be brought to her immediately " the woman explained.
The midwives stopped in their tracks and the smile on Rhaenyra's face fell
she requested for the midwives to help her up but they insisted, but she didn't listen.
She protectively held the babe in her chest as they began tending her again, she shut her eyes and hummed, trying to ease the pain that she was feeling.
"Princess, your dress "
Rhaenyra did not want to let go of her daughter from her embrace but she needed to
so she gently placed the babe in the woman's arms and watched her walk away, but her daughter started crying when being taken away
" shh... Shh " Rhaenyra mumbled while her vision started getting blurry
The midwife squeezed the towel to remove the excess water and gently wiped off the blood from the babe's face and body while the other one started cutting her umbilical cord.
She couldn't help but not to smile when the babe opened her gorgeous eyes that showed her purple orbs
like a true Targaryen she is
