CHAPTER 29

Aron's POV

I've never hated an old man the way I hate Mr Lockwood at this point everything about him enrages me.

I wanted to cut all connections with Lockwood Industries even if it means losing billions of dollars it would be all worth it at the end he can't just disrespect my wife like that and expect me to let him get away with it I'd be damned if I were to let that happen or my name isn't Aron Mondragon.

"Hhmm you know man you can't spend almost everyday locked up in your office" Ivan said

"I agree with him bro" Aidan followed

You can tell that they have been contemplating on whether to say something or just let me be and they finally decided against it.

"If it means finding a way to deal with this whole situation I'd gladly stay here I just can't let him get away with this " I said with pure anger laced in my voice

"Let's be drastic here you guy's I know Mr Lockwood totally went out of line but at the same time we can't entirely blame him" Ivan said

"What do you mean by that" Aidan couldn't help but ask spiking my curiosity

"What I'm trying to say is that Mr Lockwood doesn't know that Miss Rodriguez is the infamous Mrs Aron Mondragon" he said

"I can agree with you on that " I said

"And we are business men and in the world of corporate we all know that bosses play dirty in order to get ahead" Ivan stated

"That we know, but you also have to keep in mind Ivan that we are not like them we do things by the book and look how far we've  come" I strongly stated

"I agree with Aron on this Dad has worked so hard to create an empire for his family a legacy something that will be passed on from generation to generation and he did all that by fair play"

"You guys are misinterpreting what I'm trying to say, what I'm trying to say is businesses by now especially like Lockwood Industries which are huge corporate companies use arranged marriages to secure multi million dollar deals you of all people Aron should know this" he said

Ivan was smart I knew exactly what he was trying to get at that's why I had to compose myself.

Aidan started breathing in and out to compose himself then finally spoke "Okay man I understand what you trying to say but come to think of it, it's not the same Brandon is a manwhore who changes woman like socks all he does is party and drink he doesn't even know a single thing about business. Even if Miss Rodriguez wasn't married to Aron we would have strongly declined the offer "

What he said was completely true I would have never allowed it even if she wasn't married to me

I stood up and turned my back against them

"I  don't know how but we have to do something and soon" I said

"What do you mean" Ivan asked

"This is the exact deal that made me marry Miss Rodriguez because I didn't want any other company to secure it but us, and at the same time I do understand what Ivan is saying about Mr Lockwood I'm sure he's confused trying to figure out why we acted out like that but that's for us to know " I said

"True" Aidan said "but also there's one thing we forgot to keep in mind

Aidan's words made me turn my back and face them

"And that is" I asked raising my eyebrow

"That literally everyone knows that we are one of the companies that are in the run to secure this deal, this is what all media companies have been covering these past few months along with your wedding since it made headlines. And if we pull out, I hate to say it bro but it will raise eyebrows reporters will start questioning why and they are gonna investigate which will lead to them finding out that Mr Lockwood wanted your assistant to marry his son in order to secure the deal" he said

"And do you wanna know what will happen if that information reaches the media " he said

"What will happen" Ivan and I both asked at the same time

"A storm will happen the media will know that you declined the deal and they will start to investigate why which will lead to them knowing you are married to your assistant and that's the last thing we want in all honestly it will turn the world upside down and we should all know this by know literally everyone has their eye's on us about the deal and majority of the news says we are going to win it and most of the companies are playing dirty so we lose this deal " he strongly said

"I hate to admit it, but Aidan is right man what he just said strongly means that we can't afford to lose this deal whether we like it or not we have to win it"

I hated to admit it, but Aidan was absolutely right if we lose this deal everything might completely turn against us

"And one more thing" Aidan said

"For a way forward we have to involve Danna in this whether we like it or not"

"He's right" Ivan said

"Well then I guess we doing this" I tried to say in the most calm tone ever.
