"Do you still love Daddy?"Zac asks softly as I tuck him in.

"Of course I love your daddy. He was the best, he loved us so much baby."I say, sitting next to him.

"Then why did you kiss Killer if you love daddy?"he asks.

"Well, sweetie, daddy has been gone for a long time. Mommy would love to kiss daddy, but he's not here anymore."I say softly.

He frowns a bit and then pulls his cover up over his chest.

"I miss daddy."he says in a soft whimper.

....

Killer stands silently outside of Zac's bedroom door, listening.

"I know baby."Sky says softly.

"I miss him too."

"Is Killer gonna replace him?"Zac asks.

"Oh no no, no one can replace Daddy, gummy. But you know, maybe killer can help us get through it. Together."Sky responds.

Killer silently huffs before walking away and back down the stairs.

.....

Sky sighs softly as she walks back downstairs. She looks over at the couch and sees that Killer had vanished.

Confused, she looks around before heading to the front door.

She opens it and finds killer sitting on the front step, a cloud of smoke exiting his mouth.

"Damien? You smoke?"I question causing him to glance back at me.

"Sometimes."he says in a nonchalant tone.

"Is everything okay?"I question, sitting down next to him.

He shrugs, not looking at me.

"How's Zac?"he asks.

"He's okay. He misses his dad."I shrug.

He nods.

"Reasonable."he says taking another drag off the cigarette.

"...so, are we going to talk about that kiss?"

He shrugs, smoke coming from his nose as he snuffs the cigarette out on the pavement.

"I was out of line."he says.

"What do you mean?"I ask.

"...Zac isn't ready for you to be seeing anyone else, Sky."he says.

"Zac just misses his dad, Damien. He knows now that he's not coming back."I say softly, scooting closer to him.

"I don't want to overstep."he says, looking at me.

I smile, placing my hand on his shoulder.

"You just fed that boy barbecue, introduced him to the world of bikers, made him the most popular kid in the neighborhood, and I know you did something to that bullies dad."I chuckle.

"Nothing you can prove."he instantly responds, making me laugh.

"He loves you, Damien."I say.

He smiles a bit and looks at me.

"I don't think I've ever been loved before."

I lean over, resting my head on his shoulder.

"Let's change that then."I say.

He chuckles and then looks down at me.

"Alright, I'll bite."

"Now, about that kiss."I say with a smile.

"....wanna do it again?"he asks, causing me to chuckle and instantly nod.

He looks back at the house and then his watch.

"The kids asleep?"he asks.

"Yep."I say as he stands.

"Awesome, let's go."he says, effortlessly lifting me off the porch and helping me stand.

I laugh as he rushes me into the house.
