PLOT SUMMARY
Blaire Campbell, a new student at West Mount High, reluctantly tries out for the cheer squad at the insistence of her overly-ambitious mother and quickly makes waves with naturally gifted abilities. Her arrival threatens the long standing reign of Madison Smith, the ruthless and competitive captain of the elite cheer squad.
Determined to maintain her position and secure a spot at the prestigious national cheer competition, Madison sets out to undermine and sabotage Blaire's efforts to join the team. She engages in an escalating power struggle, dragging the other squad members - Rhyan, Gabrielle, Courtney, Brooke, and Tatum - into the fray.
Meanwhile, Katie Wood Hall, a former member of the cheer squad who has since become the school's outcast, watches the events unfold with a mixture of bitterness and regret. As the horrors of the Squad's internal dynamics intensify, Katie finds herself drawn back into the toxic world she once escaped, potentially holding the key to unraveling the Squad's darkest secrets.

SETTING
The story takes place at West Mount High, a prestigious suburban school known for it's competitive cheer program. The majority of the action unfolds at the school's gymnasium, where the cheer squad practices and performs, as well as various social settings around the campus.
