James' P.O.V:

I was desperate..

Desperate to see her.

But why... Am I so desperate?

I was in my office and waiting for her. It was then ten in the morning, she was already late.

I waited in my office till eleven in the morning then my patience gave up and I went to her office.

I opened it only to find it vacant.

Where is she?

All the things were packed as same as it was before.

Hasn't she came today?

I walked away from there and went to Melissa.

"Have you seen Miss Miller?" I asked her and she gave a confused look.

"No. But why are you asking this? Was she supposed to be here?" She asked me.

"Excuse me." I went straight towards my office.

On my way I dialled her mother's number.

"Hi! Mr. Ash...

"Haven't you told your daughter that she was supposed to be joining the company from today?" I asked her.

"Umm.. yes I have..but.."

"But what?"

"Actually she is not well. She will join the company as soon as she is totally fit." She said.

"Where is she now?"

"She is in her room."

"Can I talk to her?"

"I told you she is...not well. Umm.. I will inform her about your call."

"Fine. Bye."

"Bye."

It was Tuesday night and she did not came to the office that day too.

Her phone was still dead and I am bored of talking to her mother all the time.

I dialled a number and waited patiently.

"Has my ticket been booked?" I asked.

"Yes Sir! Your flight is at six in the morning."

"Thank you."

"You are welcome sir."

I ended the call and went to my bed.

The next day I dialled her mother's number.

"Where is Miss Miller?"

"Actually.. I am not at home."

"You mean she is in your home right now? Or are you making excuses?" I asked bluntly.

"No.. I am not making any excuses, she is there. I am in the boutique right now. I will tell her to talk to you when I will be there."

"Fine.."

I wanted to retrieve her whereabouts anyhow.

I ended the call before she could have asked me anything.

"Wait here till I return." I said to Mason and ring the doorbell.

There was no reply. I ringed it again and again then I heard the shuffling of the door lock.
