Part 25: Vampire worries...

{Jezzabelles Pov}

"The vampire king wanted to send us as a warning" A really pale vampire said as Jason held him by his throat,

I turned to see Kadens dad thinking while my mate was still planting kisses on my neck while playing with my hands as I sat on his lap.

"And what warning would that be about?" Kadens dad asks as Jason tightened his grip around the vampires neck,

"He wants another war to start, now that your son is almost the new alpha king. He wants to take him out before he does" he says as my mate stopped and I felt his body tense before I turned around to kiss his cheek so he calm down,

"My son? He wants him? Tell him, if he wants anything or anyone from my kingdom he has to come through me first" Kadens dad says as Jason drags the vampire back out of the castle,

"Can you believe it? Ha! My son!" Kadens dad says walking out of the royal room as Kaden growls,

"Come on babe, your mom and I made dinner for you guys" I say geting up and walking away before he pulled me to his side in less than a second as I giggle when he gripped my waist tightly,

"Nice for you to join us" Xavier says winking at me as Kaden growled,

"Calm down wolf boy, she hasn't slept with me....yet" he says with a smirk before Xavier's mom snapped at him while I tried to calm my mate down,

The rest of the night was so quiet as the noises of eating and forks scraping the plate was heard. After dinner Kaden decided to go to sleep right away since he was really tired but I decided to stay behind and clean with his mom.

"Don't worry about it to much sweet heart" Kadens mom says as I finish putting away the plates,

"Im not worried about that, I'm worried about my mate worrying much about it" I say walking out of the kitchen with her as she nods,

"Kaden is a puzzling even confusing man sometimes, but as his mate its your job to be the key to his everything. You may not realize it at first, but once you really see what goes through that sad and painful sometimes dull mind.....you'll realize that your the only piece of his puzzle he needs to be complete right now." She says as we stopped in front of my bedroom,

"Now go rest, and try to help Kaden through his troubles right now. He needs you more than he can say" she says before walking off towards her room as I sigh before opening the door,

I closed the door and turned to see the bed empty? I changed into my sweats and one of Kadens sweaters before noticing the tall hunched over body outside on the balcony.

I opened the balcony door as the cold breeze hit my face making me shiver as Kaden turned to me with sadness and worry in his eyes.

"You shouldn't be out here, you might catch a c-" before he finished I wrapped my arms around his waist as I felt every tensed part of his body relax to my touch,

"You'll be here to protect me like always, right?" I ask looking up at him as he smiles down at me while sitting me on his lap in a straddle like position,

"I'll always protect you baby girl" he says planting a kiss on my lips as I melted in his arms,

"I heard you talking to my mom" he says as we both look up at the stars and I gulped nervously,

"You were right" he says as I looked at him confusedly,

"I am worrying about this vampire thing too much, but what you think I'm worrying about isn't what I'm actually worrying about" he says as I literally just got confused even more,

"I'm not worrying about their warning threat to me, I'm worried about how far they're gonna go with this threat if they end up finding you alone" he says caressing my cheek as my heart beat faster,

"A lot of threats from them ended up with them taking our mates. And I don't know what I'm gonna do if they take you from me" he says as I see his eyes darkened and I reach up to cup his face as his eyes looked into mine softening,

"They won't ever take me from you. It'd probably take seven hundred kingdoms to take me away from all this tasty delicious mate I have right here. I don't about you, but I'd claw and fight my way back to you through every war if it means I get to wake up with a face like that" I say winking at him as he chuckles,

"I'm quite a lucky wolf huh?" He asks with a smirk as I giggle,

"I'm the lucky one, I get to sleep with you every night" I say proudly before realizing what I just said and covered my mouth in embarrassment as he bursts out laughing at my actions,

"Your so cute fruitcup" he says kissing my temple as I blush,

"I didn't mean it like that" I whispered slightly as he laughs before carrying me back into our bedroom,

"I know baby, now let's get some sleep before you say something else you'll regret" he says crawling under the covers with me in his arms as I snuggled my face into his warm chest,

"Goodnight candy lips" he says kissing the top of my heads as I drifted off to sleep wondering how the heck he came up with all those nicknames for me.
