So let me give it to you straight up, I'm not a writer. I'm a wife, a mother, and a registered nurse who was hit with the 2020 quarantine's creative bug. That is one positive scenario to come out of this dumpster fire of a year. I am currently editing five more novels that I have written during this time, and I have five more ideas. My goal is to address real-life issues that I have come across in my nursing career, such as divorce, drug and alcohol addiction, abusive relationships, blended families, terminal illness, abortion, etc. I always give love and respect to the LGBTQ+ community in my writing, as well. My cousin has been a huge inspiration during this entire process, and we love to bounce ideas off each other. Let me just say that each novel I write includes a characteristic of myself or my family to make the story more personable or relatable. It could be physical characteristics, sexual experiences or fantasies, music, etc. For example, in Georgia Peach, the main character and I share the same congenital defect in the right eye. I hope you enjoy reading them as much as I have with writing them. Please be kind. Constructive criticism is always welcome, TIA.
Note to the reader:
My novels are labeled first generation and second generation. The first generation takes place in the mid to late '90s. The second-generation books take place in the present day.
