My head was whirring with thoughts as I cuddled next to him

My head was whirring with thoughts as I cuddled next to him. His breath fanned against my nape, and my gaze flew up and down. My mother had told me again and again that Furosa is a terrible boyfriend, heck even my best friends tell me that, but I've failed to listen.

It's all too good, though from the beginning I knew it probably wouldn't work out. The thought of him leaving me, makes me sick to my stomach, and vice versa. But, I'll never leave him, I fucking love this man.

His eyes fluttered open, graciously, as he shifted awake. A smile spilled on his perfected features, causing me to gawk. I had been lucky when we both met, we both wanted the same in life.

Wanted, now it looks as if we're going down completely different paths.  Which, in fact, we are.

Building a family is his dream, whilst working on my dancing career is mine.

I bought this upon myself essentially. Furosa is a total of nine years my senior; He's at the ripe age of twenty-eight, whilst I'm just over nineteen.

I mean, I enjoy having an older man be my partner, rather than someone my own age. This way it's more hot and enticing.

'What's going on in that pretty head?' He asks, carresing my cheek. 'Nothing, I'm just hungry.' I lie. 'I'll make you something.' He says, kissing my head.

Guilt flustered me. Furosa has always been so sweet and caring, that's what I'll always love about him. But, it may end up being my biggest regret. Leaving him, whilst knowing all I'm missing out on.

I sat there for a few moments, before getting up and heading to the bathroom. I walked down the corridor, but stopped when I heard my name being called. Turning the other away, I kept walking, until I reached my Mother's room.

'Yes Mom?' I reply, entering her room. 'Aurelia, help with this, please.' She asks, pointing to a stack of jewellery boxes.

Picking one box up, my hand trailed down the intricate details, obsessing over the dainty, golden chain.

'Beautiful, isn't it?' She chides, a soft look on her face. 'It is.' I agreed, placing it on the tabletop. 'You can have it, it did belong to your grandmother, after all.' She says, handing me the box.

'Thank you.' I smile, hooking the chain onto my neck. 'Your welcome. Now get ready, your meeting my new boyfriend, in an hour.' 'Okay.' I say, leading myself out.

My Mother, Rosalind Heart, has alway been the sweetest person I've ever known. Why she can't keep a boyfriend? I don't know, but one thing I know, is that she doesn't deserve anymore pain than she's been receiving.

Around a year ago, my Father died from a heart attack, it was completely out of the blue, and in a literal sense heartbreaking.
Mom didn't handle it well at all, and went into a deep grief up until a few months ago.
