03 - Flight

I woke up by my alarm going off.

I pressed snooze and yawned before I got out of bed.

I went to my bathroom, brushed my teeth and tied up my hair.

I went out to the hall and walked to Jade's room.

I softly knocked and opened the door slowly.

Sound asleep, of course.

I walked further in her room and stood next to her bed.

"Jade?" I mumbled softly.

"Jade wake up." I said, shaking her a little.

After a while she peeled open her eyes and looked at me.

"What?" She whined, rubbing her eyes.

"You have to get ready, we have to be at the airport in an hour." I said.

She groaned and pulled the blanket over her head.

"Come on don't do this today. I'm already stressed enough that we have to go on a plane." I said after I sighed.

She sat upright and looked at me after yawning.

"Please be downstairs in 20." I said before leaving her room.

I went back to my room and put on black shorts and a blue sweater.

I only did my skincare because I was not gonna wear makeup on moving day.

I grabbed my suitcase and took it downstairs.

I put my suitcase in front of the front door and sat on a stool in the kitchen.

I grabbed my phone out of my pocket and saw that Matt had texted me.

Waiting on Jade bc we have to leave for the airport in 10 mins

My sister, she's 15 and she's moving w me to LA

Who's gonna be living in LA w you?

It's js gonna be me and my sister

Not your parents?

My mom lives in Mexico for her job and my dad is dead

It's alr. It's been like that since I was 15 so I'm used to it by now

You've lived alone w your sister from your 15?

No I lived w my cousin until my 18 and then I moved out to Des Moines and my sister came with me

Ohhh okayyy

And now I'm moving w my sister to a house for two

How big is the house you're leaving now?

Cass
Huge; kitchen and living room on the ground floor, two bedrooms downstairs, two bedrooms upstairs
