chapter 2 (Sophia and George)

"Can you be my friend oh I mean Can we be friends"

George

The golden sunlight piercing through the window , the birds chirping the happy tones and the warmth I feel in the cosy blanket wrapped around me completely

When suddenly I heard an unpleasant voice I avoided it but it was getting louder and louder and that's when I realised it's my alarm
I got up from the bed and went towards the bathroom to get ready for school I was really excited not because I wanted to study but because I wanted to see her , admire her talk to her or maybe now i desperately wanna get close to her , I wore my uniform and my favourite scent and went downstairs "Mom I'm leaving I will eat something at the school" without hearing her reply I rushed out of the door , my school is near my house so I usually walk to school .

On my way to school the only thing on my mind was her , she had completely took over my mind , her light pink lips , her dark brown orbs and the way she shakes her head while laughing has a huge impact on my heart , oh God I hope I don't die someday why do I always feel like my heart will stop beating .

I said to my bestfriend Leo we are friends from years we usually meet on the way to school and then spend the rest of day together.

"Hey bro , chill it's alright , it does happen when you are in love "he said with a smirk and slightly hited my shoulder

"So I no longer like her but now I love her "

" you just confirmed "

"No I didn't "

"Just now , you did it idiot "

Oh yeah , no I mean no " he laughed out loud and then we reached the school

By that time we reached the Assembly had already started , so we entered inside and joined it I was turning around when I realised she was behind me , the girl who always loves to be on the front is behind me does that mean she too is interested in me , I slapped my head slightly and started focusing on the assembly maybe she is just late, shivers ran down to my spine on the fact that she is behind me "..damm "

" She had always been special to me , but she didn't knew it yet !

We entered the class and that's when I realised that I had 10 mins to start the conversation with her , our first period would start after 10 minutes.

I exchanged my seat with two students from the front who always wanted to sit at back but I never leted them and then i sat right after her seat she turned around and forwarded her hand which was holding up a pencil which was supposed to be of those two students , do toppers no longer bring their own stuff I wondered

I smiled at her and she frowned " how are you here George"

"Oh well they wanted to sit at the back "

"Oh ok btw hi "

"Hi , did you like the gift I gave you " maybe I shouldn't have been this straight forward

"Yeah , it was beautiful "

"Okay I heard you love cats "

"Yeah I'm a cat person "

"Oh that's cute I too love cats soo much "

"Nice, ok "

That's when I couldn't take it anymore she wasn't even able to take my hints oh God

"Sophia can we be friends , let's be friends"

"Yeah sure , ofcourse "

Ok so now we are friends

Then the bell rang and the 2nd class started !!

I was sitting in library thinking about George ,Did  he really asked me to be his friend ? , We had been in the same class for almost 8years now , but none of us ever gave each other this attention !

But today everything was different ,completely different as if the time had stopped the moment we started talking ! , He somehow took the first step , the birthday present and now the Friendship

My bestfriend came towards while balancing a bunch of books in her hands , she slammed them on the table and sat beside me

" Where are you lost now!"

"Nothing , I was just remember today's incident , I need to tell you something! "

"Ok say "

"Do you remember when today's morning George asked me to be friends ! "

"Yeah so! ,What's the matter ? "

"Don't you think it's weird of him asking me this after so many years"

"No darling maybe he likes you !"

"Oh! Lora if he liked me  , he would have confessed maybe "

"Ok so then what's the point "

"I don't know I found his today's behaviour a bit strange! "

"Maybe yeah , why don't you ask him , wait I know a app through which you could easily ask him this stuff "

"What if he doesn't use it ?"

"No he does , I have heard from his friends a lot of time about that app "
