I woke up in the morning and when I turned towards the side table of my bed, instead of the red neon light alarm clock making sound, there was no sound at all, just a note
"Turned off your alarm since you don't have college as Diwali break has started and you don't have to wake up early at least today, stay in until you are asked otherwise, and
HAPPY BIRTHDAY"
I could easily make out it was Sanya's handwriting, and I smiled to myself I should have known she is all about surprises, that's why none of them wished me last night, but why did my parents didn't? And I got my answer when Kabir unlocked my room and we went out to find, not only mine, but Dhruv's, Aditi's and even Sanya's parents there. I touched everyone feet as they wished me happy birthday, then even my friends hugged me and wished me happy birthday but Sanya was nowhere to be seen, then even Aditi and Dhruv excused themselves after sometime, I don't know what other surprises they are planning.

I just reached college to exchange some books from library. In the parking when I unlocked my phone to see the time there were missed calls and messages from Dhruv and Nishi, that's why I always keep my phone on silent otherwise it will buzz every second. I opened Nishi's message,
"Sanya, if not for anyone else at least come for your parents" was her last message,
before that it was "it's Shaurya's birthday you can keep everything aside and if not for him come and celebrate for us".
I sighed and replied "I'll see what can I do",
then opened Dhruv's message, because I knew Nishi can ask me to come back because I didn't tell her everything, but Dhruv won't but it's not every time as you think it is
