It's a parody of a real life wrestling show from the 80s, if you want a show empowering many women of color and fighting the patriarchy while being funny. This is the show for you.
Although it falls behind in the queer representation in S1, in S2 we get our proud and out lesbian in Yolanda who also becomes the gay awakening of Arthie. Arthie was originally mean to Yolanda but it was just internalised homophobia which I can totally relate to.
In S3, our ladies face different problems while Yolanda and Arthie have some ups and downs in their relationship. I was a little bit disappointed in Yolanda at how she was handling the problem but all's well in end.
Even though there are only 2 out queers in GLOW everyone in the group acts so gay it makes me grind my teeth to know they're not canon. Am I supposed to be blind AND IGNORE ALL GAY THINGS HAPPENING AROUND!!!?
The show was initially renewed for S4 but was cancelled after S3 due to COVID. Thus the finale is a bit of cliffhanger. DAMN YOU COVID!!!

Non-FictionAs any other queer woman I love seeing any queer representation on screen. I'm desperate for any bit of sapphic relationships I find. I put it all together here...... \\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\ Some reviews may contain spoilers
