Nandani POV

"Come here,"

I pulled Ruhani into my chamber after the grand welcome of them at the main entrance.

My mother and father were helping them personally with their chambers and meanwhile, I brought Ruhani to me.

She closed the door behind and finally, we hugged each other tightly.

"How did you get your voice back?"

I screamed almost and looked at her with the widest smile possible.

She inhaled a deep breath and looked at me with sweet doe eyes.

"Very very long story,"

I smiled and she suddenly asked.

"Who is the luckiest man?"

She teased and I planted a weak smile on my face.

"That is a surprise for you,"

I said in a slow voice and she pouted her face.

"I hate surprises,"

She exclaimed and sat on the bed. I sat beside her and she asked me.

"So, love marriage or arrange?"

I inhaled a deep breath and looked at her.

"Complicated,"

I answered.

She chuckled a little and thinned her eyebrows.

"What?"

"Yeah, I mean so many men came from other states and I had to chose. So, it's neither love nor arranged. Everything is of my choice but still no choice,"

She gulped and asked in a slow voice.

"You love him right?"

I blinked and looked at her.

I wanted to tell her everything but then a part of me did not want to tell her anything. Because, the more I would try to dig it deep, the more complicated it would get. The groom was just old. Simple.

"It is a political wedding, Ruh,"

She stood up from the bed and walked closer to me. Her eyes changed from teasing to shocked and worried. Her hand touched mine and she looked into my eyes.

"What? A political marriage? Why? What about the man you loved?"

She asked and I turned a little to catch on my racing heartbeats. Closing my eyes I inhaled a deep breath and exclaimed.

"He left me and now everyone knows that I had a affair with someone,"

She immediately turned me to look at her.

"What is happening here? I hope this wedding is happening with your consent,"

She said with the rage in her eyes and I held her hand.

"Ofcourse, it is happening with my consent but not with the man whom I loved. He left me something else,"

She inhaled a deep breath and sat back on the bed. Her eyes turned sad and I sat with her too.

I hugged her lightly and she hugged me back.

"He did not deserve you, Nandani,"

She said and I smiled back nodding lightly.

*Thud*

Suddenly a loud knock on the door caught our attention.

"Who is this?"
