She transferred the empty roll and replaced it with a fresh roll of paper.

Grinning she checked if it worked.

Click.

It was followed by a blurry image she had clicked as a test.

She had found the Polaroid camera in one of the shops. She stared at the device in fascination as her childhood memories resurfaced. Her grandfather had gifted her one then, this time she gifted it to herself.

The shopkeeper looked bewildered as she purchased the camera like a child, asking about it and getting him to answer all her questions.

"Who do you wish to gift this, young lady?" He had asked conversationally.

"Myself."

He had passed her a weird look but nodded immediately with a practiced smile.

Walking out of the shop, she bumped into the waitress, and all her plans for the night out were formulated. Though the cliff technically looked haunted some funny conversations later they were comfortable.

Not to forget the beer bottles.

And her new camera.

She had clicked two pictures silently.

One that she had given to him and another that she held at the moment.

She did not forget their deal.

No strings attached.

The image was when he sipped his bear and talked and she had placed her head on his arm. With the starry night as the background, it was her face and his back.

No details of his but only hers.

Like the one, she had left with him.

"Neel with Neel and Noori with Noori." She whispered to no one and walked out in search of him.
