A heroic meal (poem)

People buried alive for a long time,

Together in an ancient mine,

People, young and old awaiting their bitter end,

Though is it really meant

They waited so long,

Their skin turned pale and all hope had gone,

Until one dawn,

A hero arrived,

Their hope revived,

When he entered,

They remembered,

Their hunger only,

The hero lonely

They feasted on a hero,

Their care, zero

And when he was still breathing,

All his flesh had been eaten,

His heart still beating,

They drank his blood,

Gone the red flood

They also ate his hair and clothes,

They didn't even leave the bones,

All gone where these,

In the now warm bellies,

Their savior, their hero,

Their care still zero
