As Alex approached the park for her morning run the following morning, the gentle rays of the morning sun illuminated Chloe, who was already stretching near a bench, gearing up for their usual jog together. Chloe's athletic build and vibrant energy emitted an aura of fitness and vitality. Her sleek, dark hair was pulled back into a high ponytail, framing a face adorned with determination and a friendly smile.

Dressed in moisture-wicking running gear that accentuated her toned physique, Chloe looked every bit the seasoned runner. Well-worn sneakers hinted at the countless miles they had conquered together. Alex's gaze met Chloe's eyes, sparkling with a combination of enthusiasm and warmth, as Chloe waved in anticipation of their run. Usually, their Saturday run involved the whole seven-member squad. However, it had become rare for everyone to free up their Saturday mornings. Today, it was a more intimate session with just the two of them. Still, anticipation lingered for the upcoming weekend, when the entire group would reunite for their annual weekend getaway—a much-anticipated tradition they were already looking forward to.

This is exactly what I need right now, especially with everything at the office turned upside down and I can't seem to shake yesterday's events as easily as I normally can; they really got under my skin.

"Well, let's just hope I've learned from my past mistakes," Chloe said with a wink, showing a lighthearted approach to her own misjudgments. The two friends shared a laugh as they began their run through the scenic park.
