Manik stepped into his study, closing the door gently behind him, feeling lost in his own thoughts. Settling into his chair, he rubbed his temples, trying to ease the confusion swirling in his mind.

Why did kissing Prena feel so strange? he wondered aloud. Love was supposed to be straightforward, yet something felt off.

He pondered, staring at the walls adorned with memories of their relationship. Maybe it was because they hadn't been as close lately. The distance between them seemed to have grown, leaving an uncomfortable gap.

But that didn't explain everything. There was a deeper feeling, something he couldn't quite grasp.

Manik sighed, deciding to clear his head. He resolved to talk to Prena the next morning, not wanting to burden her with his confusion.

Leaving his study, he sought solace in the simple comfort of knowing he would face the uncertainty head-on come morning, ready to untangle the knots of his emotions.

Nandini stepped out of the kitchen, heading towards her room. She stopped in her tracks, hearing Raghav talking to his mom. Their conversation sounded tense, and Nandini couldn't help but listen in.

Raghav: Mom, I get your worries, but it's Nandini's life. I won't push her into something she doesn't want. We've had problems before, and I don't want to go through that again. Please don't make things harder for us. (Raghav pleaded.)

His mother's voice crackled through the speakerphone, filled with accusation.

Mohini: Raghav, it's like Nandini has cast a spell on you. You're not the same anymore, and you're fighting me for what? For your wife? I won't leave after coming back, and that's final!

Nandini froze, stunned by the hurtful words. Raghav's response was firm but gentle, affirming his love for her. She retreated to the kitchen, trying to gather her thoughts.

After a few minutes, Nandini returned to the room, pretending everything was normal.

Nandini: Um, goodnight, Raghav. (she said softly.)

Raghav: Goodnight, Nandini. (Raghav replied, noticing her unease.) Are you okay?

Nandini (forced a smile): Yeah, I'm just tired.

Raghav nodded, concern etched on his face.

Raghav: If you need anything, just let me know.

Nandini lay down beside him, her mind racing with thoughts. Raghav turned off the light, unaware of the storm brewing inside her.

As the sun's gentle rays filtered through the curtains, Manik stirred from his slumber, his gaze finding Prena already up and about, preparing for the day ahead. A sense of urgency gripped him, driving him to bridge the chasm that had formed between them.

Approaching her with a tentative step, Manik's voice cut through the silence, breaking the barriers of uncertainty.

Manik: Hey, Prena, can we talk?

Caught off guard, Prena turned to face him, her eyes mirroring the surprise that danced within. With a hesitant nod, she welcomed his words, her heart yearning for the reconciliation that lay on the horizon.

Prena: Of course, Manik. What is it?

With a deep breath, Manik's confession spilled forth, a weight lifted from his shoulders as he acknowledged his shortcomings.

Manik: I'm sorry about yesterday. I didn't mean to disappoint you.

Prena's gaze softened, her own guilt rising to the surface as she met his apologetic gaze.
