"ATTENTION PLEASE, MR. POTTER AND MR. BLACK." Professor Slughorn looked over at the teens who had been caught in a playful duel. They paused in their activities and directed their focus back towards the professor.
Meanwhile, Autumn and Lily quietly exhaled, exasperated by the antics of their friends. They then turned towards their Professor, who was providing an elaborate explanation of the potion for that day's scheduled lessons.
Autumn glanced over at the neighbouring table and furrowed her eyebrows observing Elliot's unexpected choice to team up with Severus. Lily seemed equally bewildered since Elliot typically collaborated with her.
In contrast, Severus had become Autumn's partner for this session due to Professor Slughorn's enthusiasm after their past successful results when concocting the Draught of Living Death. But, for some reason, Elliot persisted in being Snape's partner that even Slughorn couldn't argue.
