Intelligence can be defined as the capacity to solve intricate problems or make decisions that result in favorable outcomes for the individual. It has evolved in various life forms as an adaptation to diverse environments, facilitating their survival and reproductive success.

》Psychologists categorize different cognitive abilities into two main types: Fluid and Crystallized intelligence.
Fluid intelligence refers to the capacity to learn new concepts rapidly, adapt to novel situations, and think creatively on the spot. In contrast,
Crystallized intelligence pertains to the ability to utilize accumulated knowledge and past experiences to solve problems and make informed decisions.

》 While it's been observed that higher intelligence can sometimes be associated with an increased likelihood of mental illness, this isn't a universal rule. However, there's evidence suggesting a correlation between intelligence and mental health issues in many individuals.

While individuals are born with varying levels of innate intelligence potential, it's not accurate to say that there's an absolute threshold that cannot be surpassed. Intelligence is a complex trait influenced by both genetic and environmental factors, and while there may be limits to how much one can improve, individuals can still enhance their cognitive abilities through education, learning experiences, and practice.

》There is more than one way to be 'smart'. Many researchers now believe the theory that there are seven forms of intelligence:

Linguistic
Enjoy writing, reading, telling stories or doing crossword puzzles.

Logical-Mathematical
Interested in patterns, categories and relationships. Drawn to arithmetic problems, strategy games and experiments.

Bodily-kinesthetic
Process knowledge through bodily sensations. Often athletic, dancers or good at crafts such as sewing or woodworking

Spatial
Think in images and pictures. May be fascinated with mazes or jigsaw puzzles, or spend free time drawing, building things or daydreaming.

Musical
Often singing or drumming to themselves. Usually quite aware of sounds others may miss. Often discriminating listeners.

Interpersonal
Leaders among their peers, who are good at communicating and who seem to understand others' feelings and motives.

Intrapersonal
May be shy, but are very aware of their own feelings and are self-motivated.

Intelligence alone does not guarantee success in life. While a high IQ can offer advantages in certain domains such as academics or specific careers, it is not the sole determinant of success. Other factors such as emotional intelligence, resilience, determination, and social skills also play crucial roles in achieving success in various aspects of life.

Intelligence can fluctuate depending on the time of day. Research indicates that individuals typically perform better on cognitive tasks in the morning when they are refreshed and alert. However, as the day progresses and fatigue accumulates, cognitive abilities may decline, leading to challenges in maintaining focus and critical thinking skills.

IQ, or intelligence quotient, serves as a gauge of an individual's capacity to reason and tackle problems. It assesses how well one performs on a particular test relative to others in their age cohort. A comprehensive IQ test typically spans over an hour, involving intense evaluation. It necessitates administration by a trained examiner, with specific sections often timed. It's important to note that the free quizzes available online do not constitute legitimate IQ tests.

》The average intelligence quotient (IQ) is between 85 and 115. But this number can vary between countries, states, and even geographical regions.

》Those with a higher IQ tend to worry more. (I know, Shocker)

》 Research has indeed indicated a correlation between the number of years of schooling completed and IQ, with an average gain of approximately 3.5 IQ points per year. Consequently, students born later in the year tend to have lower average IQ scores as a group compared to those born earlier in the year.

》The smarter the person is, the faster they think, and the sloppier their handwriting is.
(Their brain moves too fast for their physical responses)

It's true that intelligent individuals may tend to have fewer friends compared to the average person. As intelligence increases, individuals often become more selective about their social circles. However, this doesn't mean that being highly intelligent is an excuse for having no friends. Intelligent people are fully capable of developing and maintaining meaningful friendships.
