Chapter 11 (4 years old)

"Hey," I shyly called my brother who was staring at me for minutes now, he doesn't even blink

"Hey" I called again this time snapping my small fingers in-front of his face that makes him blink a few times before looking at me then his face flushed red that makes me giggled

"You look beautiful" He said after composing himself still not looking at me and his arm covering his face that I can only see was his magnificent golden amethyst eyes,

"Thank you hehe, Your handsome too Nii-chan!"

Triton-nii and me were now riding on a separate carriage than our parents, my mother and father's carriage was only in-front of ours with numerous knights that was escorting us through our journey to the palace, as our mansion wasn't that far away as it was only an hour away from the palace

We are now in front of the ballroom's entrance and only waiting for the door to open

"Announcing the arrival of Duke Jullius Nyx Lockheart with his wife Duchess Lette Leona Spade Lockheart and their two children, sir Triton Friean Lockheart and lady Selena Artemis Lockheart!" I heard the announcer said before the double door open, and we are greeted by numerous nobles that was looking at us from below

Third Person's Point of View

As the Duke and Duchess Lockheart descend with their two children from the grand staircase

All eyes are on them, those nobles, high or low, are all awestruck by the scene that unfold before their eyes.

They all looks like Gods and goddesses that was slowly descending from heaven to give their blessing for the people who worshipped them all their life.

"This is a picture perfect of a perfect family" They all thought

The duke who was wearing a grand suit that complimented his title as a duke and a prime minister, his golden silver hair that was neatly comb to the back, a new style that really affect those noble ladies, young or adults, he also has this mysterious aura that will draw your attention to him

Next was Duchess Lockheart who was wearing an elegant off-shoulder dress, on its chest was a dirty white tube-like upper part that was glorify by pretty pink and white pearls with laces, while the skirt was colored aqua blue designed by black see-through with black frills on its end. Her graceful movements amazed those noblemen that was present, that only makes the duke's face to darken and move possessively by pulling her closer on her slender waist while maintaining his indifferent poker face and cold presence that makes the audience to feel cold and shiver on the spot.

While their son was elegantly escorting his little sister down to the grand staircase like it was meant for them to walk on because of the red carpet that rolls down till the last step was shining brilliantly, they effortlessly swoon the onlookers that was staring at them in awe, while those who are jealous was trying their best to find a foul at them to start a gossips.

They descend the staircase like they are the star of the night when the truth was the ball was meant for the noble children's debut in high society

The silence that was filled with amazement was suddenly broken by a laugh from the onlookers that gathers the attention of many including Duke Lockheart's family
