he was the sky,
and I was the sea,
from outside,
we always seemed to meet each other,
but no one knew what happened at the horizon from near.

it's so weird
how the sky
always
meets
the sea,
but
we
never seem
to do.
even when
we're so
close,
even when
the wind
blows
in
random
directions,
making
our
hair
blow
too.

and
when
our
eyes
will close
for the
last time,
we'll
see
the horizon
from
the corner of
our eye,
burning,
flashing
blue
and
red,
and
reminding
us
that
now,
we're
finally
dead.

-about-

written: june 5, 2021

I literally wrote this while doing my homework at my aunt's (not the same one as the previous poems) house, but it qualifies as a write-up and I really like the imagery and the words in it, I thought that I should publish it.
In this poem, I've tried to write about how sometimes people are so toxic from the inside but they don't show it outside. This poison gradually gets to them, and slowly kills them. The horizon here represents the minds of the two people here. Their minds slowly burn due to their toxic behaviour towards each other.
I hope you get what I'm trying to say.

-anyways, thanks for reading, people!! do vote and comment if you liked it-
