I'm in the capital today. It's almost the end of the year and I want to buy presents for everyone in the manor.
Yes, it's almost Christmas, I miss receiving gifts from my aunts before I reincarnated in this novel, and those gifts are the things I don't usually need, but I'm still glad they remember me every Christmas.
"Stella, wait here, I'm going inside that shop." I pointed a shop near us
"Sure, my lady," she said
I went inside the shop, it's quite neat, they had things arranged in order. Very satisfying
"Hello there, young lady."
I turned around, it's an old man.
"Hello, sir. Can I have one of that, please?" I pointed a book above the shelf.
"Sure, wait here I'll get that for ya."
He was about to climb the ladder when suddenly a guy with blue hair yelled
"Ah! Damn old geezer! I told you to go inside your room and rest!"
"Oh no." The old man whispered
"You're so stubborn, old geezer." He said
"I'm really sorry, I'm just helping this woman here."
"Oya?" He look at me "Tsk, you go upstairs old man, I'll take care of the shop."
The old man obeyed him and went to the stairs, "Make sure you don't scare people away, stupid brat."
"I wont!"
The old man chuckled and went upstairs
"Alright, what you want?"
"The book, please, that one." I pointed to book again
He climb the ladder and took the book from the shelf.
"Here ya go." He handed the book to me
"Thanks." I said and continued to look around
I bought the things that caught my attention.
I'm about to leave the shop and meet Stella when the guy suddenly tapped my shoulder
"You're the Gomez Ophelia's daughter, aren't you?" He asked
"I am. How'd you know?"
"Your eyes are similar to his. But yours are the odd one. Your eyes are purple but it's somewhat clearer than your father's."
"What do you mean?"
He was silent for a minute, "Nevermind."
He turned around and never looked at me again
I left the shop and went where Stella is. She was busy chatting with a vendor, she noticed me and waved. She walk towards me and handed me a flower crown
"For you, my lady" she smiled
I remembered my mother while staring at the flower crown. I smiled at her
"Thank you, Stella."
I have no regrets having her as my servant and female bodyguard. She's like a sister I never had.
I'm just thankful that I'm alive until today.
