"Miss Fuentes, your guests have arrived and are waiting for you in the conference room on the 23rd floor." The moment Bless stepped into my office,  she swiftly informed me that my long-awaited guest had arrived.

Guest lang kasi 'yung kasama lang ni Remi ang inaabangan ko.

"Okay, just a moment, I need to finish drafting an email and send it to our investors." Why do I suddenly feel anxious?

What if Remi's with one of my ex-flings? Shit, this can't be.

Halos lahat ng scenario naiisip ko na hanggang sa mapadpad na ako sa elevator.

This elevator seems to be taking forever to reach my destination. I need to find out more about that girl. Her presence has left me feeling curious and a bit distracted. Who is she? Why do I feel this way? And what could be causing this sudden onset of anxiety that I am experiencing right now?

H'wag naman sana kakilala ko.

My office is located all the way up to the 42nd floor, goodness. I'm late. Wala ka na bang itatagal pa? Tsk. Maybe I can save some time by running up the rest of the way once I reach the 23rd floor.

Okay, here we are. Before heading into the room, I take a moment to center myself and take a deep breath. Remember to stay calm, natural, and professional throughout the entire twenty-minute meeting, Rayni.

"Sorry to keep you waiting." Hmm, my eyes were immediately drawn towards the one with Remi. I felt relieved that I didn't recognize her, so I assumed that I was not acquainted with her. On top of that, I couldn't help but notice that she's quite attractive.

She looks... sophisticated but a... little bit... what word is that? Like a... mean and rude person. Let's see.

"So... who is she...?" I asked Remi, but my gaze was suddenly drawn to a woman standing nearby. She was absolutely stunning, with a captivating aura that seemed to radiate from her very being. I couldn't help but stare in awe at her mysterious beauty, even as I struggled to focus on the conversation at hand.

I observe her sudden moment of unease, as evidenced by the slight panic in her eyes and the quick clearing of her throat. However, she quickly recovers and extends her hand in a friendly gesture. "Blaine Kingsley."

Without hesitation, extend your own hand to meet hers, firmly grasping it to complete a friendly and professional handshake.

Wow, the number two entrepreneur in our country. As I shake her hand, I notice that it feels rather cold, making me wonder if she's perhaps feeling a bit nervous.

Although I know her name, I have yet to see her face. I'm not typically the type of person who goes out of their way to search for the physical appearance of CEOs or other individuals. For me, knowing their name is enough.

"Oh, nice to finally meet you, Kicks & Heels." I'm a fan of your brand and designs.

I notice how she deliberately hit Remi's thigh. I wonder about the reason behind her actions. I find it fascinating how charming she looks when she rolls her eyes.

Alias?

"Yes? I'm a philanthropist. But I'm using an alias." Although her exterior may give the impression of a selfish and spoiled individual, her true nature is far from it. Deep down, she possesses a heart of gold that shines through her actions and words. I must admit, this quality of hers is my weakness and makes it hard for me to resist her charm.
