My work meeting went for longer than I expected. I hurried and grabbed my coat as I told my assistant to finish whatever I had left.

I grabbed my car keys and basically bolted out of the company.

Y/n was running through my mind the whole time, as I pressed on the gas, to get to the restaurant as soon as possible.

I checked the time and there was still an hour left before the restaurant closes.

But traffic was a pain in the ass, I kept checking the time and I was starting to get anxious.

I reached for my phone but then realized that I had left it in my meeting room, and shut off my phone due to not wanting any disturbance.

I cursed to myself as I started to panic. The time was going down so quickly and there was no way of informing y/n that I was caught in traffic.

After what seemed like eternity, I finally reached the restaurant but she wasn't there.

She was gone.
