Emma.

My feet pound into the dirt as we charge at the giant gates. As the gates get closer I begin to even my breaths and start to count each step in my head.

One. Two. Three. One. Two. Three. One. Two. Three and JUMP

My knees bent and I launched myself in the air, my arms spread behind me before moving in front as I positioned myself to land. I there my right hand out in front of me and a blast of wind caused me to lands softly with no sound. I look through the gate to the 7 other people and I smirk.

Ryan looks over his shoulders at the other 6 and then does the same as I did, they all looked at him, impressed.

Jolie looks at me and I smile, grateful for my best friend to be by my side through this whole ordeal. I stomp my foot into the ground and pillars of dirt rise the 6 people up and the jump over, floating down with a wind current that Ryan made. I grin at my brother.

"Little Dove," I turn to face Spencer and I melt into his arms, sighing.

"Okay enough of the PDA, are we going to get this done or not?" Liza snorts and everyone groans in agreement. Spenc leans down at whispers in my ear.

"Who's the dude and why is he glaring at me?" I turn of raise my eyebrows at my brother before shaking my head.

"Ryan. He's my brother." I laugh and walk forward, shoving past Ryan.

We walk around the compound searching for a way to get in when Duce stops us. I run over to him and inspect the small metal sheet he found. I flicked my finger and wind blew it off while a soft mound of leaves created a soft padding for it to land on with minimal noise. I reach forward and when my fingers are about to graze the metal trapdoor that lay on the ground, loud sirens begin to ring.

Cindy covers her ears and shouts to us, "What did you do?!" I shake my head at her before signalling for everyone to get behind my brother and I.

"Emma I learnt an invisibility spell," he shouts and pushes me behind him. with a few movements of his hands we are all enclosed in a bubble, except we can see out.

We all stay silent as around 10 men run past us, heavily armed. Slowly we walk towards the - now open - metal flip door and one my one we jump down, I go first and create a slab of air to cushion everyones fall. Eventually we are all standing safely at the bottom.

Scanning the room I am surprised to see that it is a hallway that splits off into six or seven different halls.

Before we can go far I hear footsteps. My brother starts the spell again but it doesn't reach me in time, two men come around the corner and my eyes go wide as they spot me.

"Hey! Put your hands up!" One shouts and next thing I know, I'm running and they are in direct pursuit. My eyes are darting left and right as I try to find a way to lose them, but this hall seems to go on forever. Suddenly the walls either side of me begin to turn into cells and confusion reaches my face. I see young children who are near on skin and bones, their sullen faces turning into one big blur as I run past them, the next thing I notice it the smell, it is utterly rancid. It smelt like death, no, worse than death if there even was something worse? Imagine leaving a raw steak out on the cupboard, exposed to air, for a week. Well it smells ten times worse. The odour seems to singe my nose hairs and I struggle to keep running. The smell is so horrid I can literally taste it when I breathe through my mouth. I struggle to keep going, the smell is so strong that I choke on air.

I past one cell and see a shadow move quickly to the front, hands curl around the bars, the end of each fingertip covered in black scales. Croydon.

I dig my heels into the ground and spin around charging straight at the two guards who were still following me, their mouths drop open and the ready their guns.

But then everything is in slow motion, they both pull the trigger and it takes me milliseconds before I am sliding in between the beefier males legs and popping up on the other side. I hear the bullet hit the wall and both males recover, turning around and once again resuming their chase.

I skid to a stop in front of the cell and my eyes meet Croydon. His once bright green iris's are now dull and lifeless, bruises cover his body and his lip is busted open. Dark circles reside under his eyes. He looks close to death. He breathes out in relief at the sight of me, but his breath is putrid, I gag.

The men stop to the side of me and I glance at how they are both folded over trying to catch their breath. I scoff and grow a single claw and begin to un-pick the lock- they'll be there for a while. I hear a satisfying click and then the door swings wide open.

"Why didn't you shift and crawl out?" I ask as we jog further from the men, they realise that we have gone and they begin shouting. We start to pass the same cells, with the same children, the same sullen faces, the same rancid smell of death. I stop.

Raising my hands, palms outstretched I focus on the metal locks on all the cells, I seal my hand into a fist and suddenly all the locks crumble and doors swing open. There are weak cheers of happiness and people begin to file out of the cells, tens, possibly even hundred of people join us in the jog to safety.
