42. Mannequin (2)

*I'm finally back with translating Japanese horror stories from app! I'm so glad I'm able to start this over again!

This happened in last year, spring season.

That spring, I had graduated university and it was being difficult to find a job. Finally when I got it, it was a job to be a watcher in department store.

One of my job was to watch around the store at midnight. When I was doing the job, I noticed a creepy mannequin at 5th floor.

It is placed in famous branded store and it seems like just another normal mannequin but when I walk past it, I always felt like it was watching me. I could feel goosebumps all over. But at first, I didn't realize it was coming from near that mannequin.

I was once talking with my senior staff member and asked him about the mannequin. He said it was same with everyone. Everyone felt the same with that mannequin. At that time, I wasn't really sure which mannequin it was so when I asked my senior, he said it was the corner most mannequin at right side in that store which was raising its hand.

He told me that that mannequin was quite famous from before. Not only us, watchman but other shop staff felt the same. While the customer is paying and they look up from the counter, they notice the mannequin looking their way. Those staffs exchanged the mannequin with other but when they did that, they all felt uneasy throughout the working session but when they kept the mannequin back, that calmed down.

So my senior said never to look at that mannequin while crossing in front of it.

It was that same night, I experienced it.

I  had completed my round till 4th floor and it was now the 5th floor for the checking. I remembered about what my senior had told me and steadied myself. I remembered him telling at any cost, not to look at the mannequin.

I passed in front of that store without looking there. But it was strange. I felt the stare from somewhere else. When I looked at where the mannequin is kept, the mannequin at the corner most with one of its hands up was nowhere to be seen.

What? Just when I was wondering, I heard some noise. Gg.. gg.. it was coming from behind. When I turned back, there was a mannequin kept in weird manner in between two mannequins with golf wear. One of its hand was up, must be the haunted one. Gg.. gg.. gg with that noise, it was moving side ways. When it moved, I noticed a pair of scissors in its another hand. I was terrified and frozen on the spot but as soon as I noticed the pair of scissors, I ran as fast as my legs could carry.

I quickly got into office and told about it to my senior and we checked the CCTV footage. But there was only me and nothing else to be seen in the footage.

My senior didn't believe this and I decided to just drop the job.

Even now, I don't know what was all that about but all I'm sure is that mannequin was surely moving.

I wonder if that mannequin is still there in that store...

Long time no see! I am finally able to start with this again! This is again the real experiences I read from apps. It is up to you if you believe if they are real or not, but I'm just writing what I read.

Now I will try to make this up to 101 stories!
