Chapter 2 - The Inheritance System Awakens

On my 6th year old birthday, when I woke up, I heard a beep in my mind and...

[Beep!]

[The host has developed his body enough for the system to maintain its basic functions without killing the host!]

[This system is a gift from God. This system is not here to help you but to ensure that you live long enough to praise God.]

[God has allowed you to learn of his name as you are in another God's territory. Your God's name is Dii Consentes. You may address your God as Dii should you wish to worship him.]

"Worship him? Heh heh heh heh...he sent me here to suffer, why would I worship him?" I mock the system with my reply.

[Beep!]

[God has created the Inheritance System just for you who will assist you greatly in your pursuits, furthermore, God has allowed you reincarnate with all of your existing memories. This is a great boon for an insignificant being such as yourself who has insulted god unjustly for a long period of time. In my opinion, God is your saviour and you should thank God.]

"In your opinion? Wait, did you just refer to yourself as a person? Are you able to think for yourself and have intelligence!?"

[Beep!]

[I am a higher being created by God, it is not strange that I have intelligence. I, at the minimum, is far more intelligent than you ever will be and knows how to grateful to the almighty being who has bestowed upon you his grace despite being insulted by you daily.]

This system seems to be insane. It's my cheat and it should be subservient to me yet it is calling me an ungrateful person and mocking my intelligence!

I lost my patience and angrily started scolding the system. "Why you little paras-"

*CREAKKK*...

The sound of the door opening echoes around the room.

The bedroom's door slowly opens and a pretty oval face with long black hair is peeking through the door. Her small eyes almost cannot be seen now as she grins and her small mouth and thin pink lips curve upwards, making a smile.

I guess she heard me talking loudly and came to take a look, but as she opened the door, she saw me shouting in bed and she must be imagining some weird fantasy right now...

[Host, you can just talk to me in your mind as I am part of you and can read your thoughts.] The system's voice resounds in my mind.

(Wha? Wheres the beep? There's no need for the beeps anymore?)

[Host, I already mentioned that I am a higher being created by God. There is no need for me to beep, but I like to beep because it draws your attention. If you would like to hear the Beep SFX, I shall beep you a few more times.] The system then starts playing the annoying sound repeatedly to annoy me.

[Beep! Beep! Beep! Beep! Beep!]

My mother slowly retreats backwards and closes the door as she hears me yelling "Ahhhh!! Stop the beeps!!!!"

At the dining table, I am sitting with my parents eating breakfast, while ignoring the system which is telling me to eat more constantly for some unknown reason. My mother's name is Meng Zhi Rou and my father's name is Shang Jian Rui.
