I've begun placing pieces lost for years,

track them down at the cost of a million years,

hurdled a thousand rocky feet,

surviving swollen rivers... even when I could easily called defeat,

but that's nothing compared to having spent one night without you,

and I never want to.

I've found pleasure with seeing me for myself,

(I've found peace with how you see me for myself)

amazing how your touch can change ones point of view:

there's no satisfaction in being like everyone else;

how have I lived these hundreds of days,

never knowing exhilaration in your gaze,

or exasperation pouring from lips to taste,

the conclusion to convey,

wasn't extently breathing till your hands cradled my face -

yet,

that's nothing compared to having spent one night without you,

and I never want to.
