Laura was sat on the couch in Derek's loft staring at a random stop ahead of her, looking over Derek's crouched form.

Derek sighed "Please just talk to me. Lo siento te lo oculte. Estaba tratando de protegerte" Derek spoke as he lay a hand on her knee trying to get her to at least acknowledge him.

"You lied" Was all Laura said as she shifted away from him as she crossed her arms stubbornly, avoiding looking at the man in front of her.

Derek didn't know what he could do to make it up to her, he knew he shouldn't of kept something this big from her especially when he promised he would help find her Father.

"You said you knew your Father was dying, why?" He asked her, changing his tactics in getting her to talk to him.

Laura huffed as she looked at him for a second before quickly looking away. "Metal poison,  his body can't heal from it, so he's slowly dying" Her voice softened as she told Derek.

Derek's eyebrows furrowed "How is that possible, I thought your healing factor would prevent this like when you got poisoned by the assassins?"

"No. It's Adamantium, scientists used it on his whole body to make him indestructible but it also poisoned him. They used it on me too, but only my claws so it won't affect me the same." She explained to the man who grew silent. He had hoped that maybe Lydia got it wrong and Logan would be alright but if what Laura said was true then the Adamantium in his system would likely kill him he just wondered when.

"I'm sorry" Derek told her, and he was. All her life she had been mistreated and experimented on and brought up like a solider with no real parents and when she finally finds her Father it turns out he's dying too.

Laura shrugged she didn't know what to say. It wasn't Derek's fault and there was nothing anyone could do to save Logan, it was just a matter of time.

Before Derek could say anything else the door to his loft slid open revealing Lydia, Deputy Parrish and Scott.

They informed Derek of what had happened to Parrish and wondered if he knew what sort of creature Jordan could be.

Derek stepped forward and examined Jordan's hands seeing that they were completely healed.

"He covered you in gasoline?" Derek asked him as he looked the guy up and down, Jordan nodded.

Lydia spoke up "Its the hair and nails, isn't it?" She said "The parts of the body that are essentially dead." She explained trying to find a reason behind why Jordan is standing next to them when he should be ash.
