CHAPTER 10
"At last, here we are, broadcasting live from the coronation, where Prince Benjamin will soon be crowned King and Princess Addison will be named Royal Advisor! I'm Snow White, bringing you up to the second coverage of who's the fairest of them all," Snow White announces. "Oh, Fairy Godmother is looking radiant. But what is happening with Jane's hair? And there is Fairy Godmother's wand."
"I want that wand!" Maleficent says as they watch on tv.
"Do you? Hadn't heard," Cruela says earning a glare.
"Oh, and here comes Addy now," Snow White announces.
"Don't be nervous. All you have to do is sit there and look handsome. No problem there," Addy says as she holds Jay's hand causing him to wink at her.
"Thank you," Jay says with a small smile.
"Jay, would you wear my ring?" Addy asks as she goes to put the that is on a necklace around his neck.
"Um... not now," Jay says as he moves away. "I think it would probably just fall right off of me. I have something for you."
"For me?" Addy asks excitedly.
"Yeah. It's just for later, you know, when you need strength. Some carbs to keep up your energy," Jay explains as he hands her the box.
"Always thinking," Addy says as she pulls out the cupcake. "But I can't wait."
"No!" Jay says as she takes a bite.
"Mm. Mm... Mm! This is really good," Addy says.
"Uh, do you..." Jay starts not sure what to do.
"Jay?" Addy asks him concerned.
"Do you feel okay?" Jay asks her.
"You bet," Addy answers.
"Would you say that you're still in... that... that you have very strong feelings for me?" Jay asks her.
"I'm not sure. I mean, let's give the anti-love potion a few minutes to take effect," Addy answers and Jay doesn't catch what she said since his mind is going crazy.
"Okay," Jay says before his mind finally catches up. "What?" Addy lets out a giggle. "What? You knew?"
"That you spelled me? Yeah," Addy says. "Yeah, I knew."
"I'm... I can explain myself," Jay says quickly fearing the worst.
"No, look, It's fine. I mean, you had a crush on me. You didn't trust that it could happen on its own. Am I right?" Addy says.
"Yes. You're so right," Jay says just agreeing with her not to blow his cover. "So, then, how long have you known?"
"Since our first date. The spell washed away in the enchanted lake," Addy answers him.
"So then what? You've just been... Faking it since then?" Jay questions her waiting for the hurt. Addy puts the necklace around his neck before kissing his cheek.
"I haven't been faking anything," Addy tells him causing him to smile.
"Well, If it isn't..." The Evil Queen says as Jafar gasps.
"My son," Jafar says. "Looking like some kind of..."
"Prince!" Snow White says. "And here's Ben."
"And if it isn't," Cruela says.
"My daughter," Maleficent says. "Looking like some kind of..."
"Princess! Now, let's see who these two are wearing. Evie," Snow White announces.
"Evie! That's my dau... evie!" The Evil Queen says excitedly.
"Someone named Evie designed her gown and his suit," Snow White announces.
"That's my daughter!" The Evil Queen exclaims.
"Oh, wow. She sewed a dress. Meanwhile, my daughter and his son duped a prince and princess, and they're this close to grabbing the magic wand," Maleficent says and Jafar nods in agreement.
"Bitter, party of two. Bitter, party of two," The Evil Queen says.
"It's happening, people! It's happening! I say, gird your loins! Gird your loins! Villains, our revenge begins today," Maleficent says as she runs around the room.
"About the other day, I just..." Mal starts to apologize once they all reach Beast and Belle after they bowed to them.
"I told Ben and Addy this wasn't going to be easy," Beast tells her.
"You also taught me that a king has to believe in himself. Even when it isn't easy," Ben tells him.
"I did?" Beast asks him and Belle hits his arm causing Addy to giggle. "I... how very wise of me."
"Ben, we are very proud of you," Belle says as she grabs his hands. "You keep listening to your heart. Both of you."
"Thanks, mom," Ben says as she steps back.
"You're gonna make a fine king and will have a fine advisor," Beast tells Ben before he and Belle walk off to go inside. Jay smiles at Addy as she steps in front of him.
"Wish me luck," Addy says causing Jay to wink at her before he escorts Mal inside to wait on Addy and Ben.
