Chapter 3 - A chat with the deputy distric chief!

Harper and Matt walk into bodens office and take a seat.
"First of all I want to express my condolences to you Harper as I know what you going through must be tough" Chief riddle says
"The only thing that's tough is telling my kids that there dad isn't coming home for a while" Harper says professionally
"About that! We would like you to take Kelly's spot permanently" chief riddle says
"But Kelly's going to come back! He remembers the firehouse and everyone he worked with! The only thing he doesn't remember is me and the kids" Harper says
"I understand that but it looks like a long road until he will be back" chief riddle says
"I will take his job but when he comes back it's his!" Harper says
"Great! I'll put the paperwork through! Dismissed" chief riddle says
"Oh and Harper!" Chief Boden shouts as Harper turns round
"Your doing great!" Chief Boden shouts
Harper smiles and walks away
"Hey Luitenent?" Cruz says
"Yep?" Harper says
"I need to run out for a sec!" Cruz says
"Okay fine! Just keep your radio on!" Harper says
"Your the best Luitenent!" Cruz says running out
Harper then gathers Boden, Matt, Herrmann, Mouch, Otis and Capp into the briefing room
"What's up kid?" Herrmann says
"Well tomorrow is bring your dad to school day for aria and she came home crying about it last night. Because Kelly is away she has no one so I though you 6 could go? With Cruz as well?" Harper asks
"Of course we will go!" Matt says
"Yep!" Mouch says
"Anything for Aria!" Boden shouts
"Great! She doesn't know your going so it's going to be a surprise!" Harper says
"I'll text you the details later!" Harper says walking out
*The boys POV*
It's the next day and aria has been in school for an hour now. The boys wait outside the classroom for a second and can see that Aria looks a bit upset
"Okay Aria! Did you bring anyone today?" The teacher says
"Oh umm" Aria says
"She did! Sorry we're late!" Matt says as they all walk in
"Uncle Matt?" Aria says confused
"Hey guys!" Boden says
"So unfortunately Arias dad couldn't be here today!" Herrmann says
"So we're here instead!" Cruz says
"So we're firefighters! Just like Arias mum and dad!" Otis says
"Wow that's so cool!" A boy shouts
"Aria has the coolest family!" A girl shouts as Arias face lights up
"So we have 2 different trucks! We have truck 81 which me, Otis, Herrmann and Mouch ride on!" Matt says
"And then we have squad 3 which me and Capp ride on!" Cruz says
"I'm the Luitenent on truck 81 and Arias Mum is the Luitenent on squad 3!" Matt says
"What's a Luitenent?" A boy asks
"It's the person who is in charge of the firetruck! So they make all the calls about who to put in the fire!" Cruz says
"So there the boss?" A girl says
"Well of the trucks yes! But the overall boss is chief Boden!" Matt says pointing to Boden
They carry on for a while until it's time for them to go
"Bye Aria!" Herrmann shouts
"Bye guys!" Aria shouts back
"Your family is so cool!" A boy says
"I know!" Aria replies
