Chapter Twenty Six

*Two weeks later*

Junie's POV

So, turns out, before my accident, me and Yoongi had to move over here from Daegu.

Apparently, I have amnesia.

Not the type that erases all brain memory, but the type that only erases memories that haven't stuck with you a long time.

I live in a house with 7 guys which includes Yoongi.

I didn't remember any of the others when I was still in the hospital but they have kept talking to me and telling me things that have happened before.

They're all super sweet.

Well...

Except for one.

It's the first person that visited me after Yoongi in the hospital.

I've tried talking to him but he always just walks away or doesn't respond.

I don't understand why he does this.

I've asked Yoongi why he acts this way but all he tells me is that something happened that broke his heart and he is always upset now.

I want to know what happened to him, but Yoongi won't tell me.

But he never really talks.

The only things I know about him are his name is Taehyung, He's the same age as me and that something broke his heart.

I walk downstairs after getting ready for school.

Today will be my first day of school after the accident.

Jin had made breakfast already and everyone had eaten except for me and Taehyung... Of course.

Me and Taehyung were sitting at the table by ourselves.

Silence filled the air.

The only noise heard was the chewing of food.

Suddenly, I decide to say something.

"So, how has your morning been so far?" I ask.

He then looks down and makes a thinking face.

"Good." He says.

I-

"Woah..." I whisper.

"What?" He asks.

"Oh... It's just-"

"It's just that I don't ever talk?" He asks.

"Well... Y-yeah I guess." I say, still shook.

He just chuckles.

"Don't worry. I got over it. I will talk to you now." He says as he smiles at me, genuinely.

I smile back and finish my food.

Taehyung's POV

I lied.

I'm not over it.

She will never remember when I saved her from people in the alley.

She will never remember how I helped her avoid Brandon.

She will never remember how she told me everything about her past.

She will never remember me.

The me when we first met.

The me when I realized I was falling for her.

The me when I saved her many times.

I wish it didn't happen.

I wish I could've saved her.

I wish I was the one who got hit instead.

Namjoon's POV

I'm worried about Taehyung.

Ever since Junie got into that accident, he hasn't acted the same as usual.

He hasn't been talking.

He's always sad.

He doesn't eat properly.

His grades are dropping drastically.

Something is wrong and I intend to find out what it is.

Every night (sorry but when I wrote this i thought of 'if you do' by got7) He mumbles "Why did it have to be you? Why you..." In his sleep.

He also tosses and turns in his sleep.

He has nightmares every night.

So I approach him.

He is tying his tie as I walk up to him.

"Hey, Tae?" I get his attention.

"Hm?" He hums, still focusing on his tie.

"What is wrong?" I ask.

"What do you mean?" He chuckles.

"I mean, why aren't you ever talking or eating right? Why are you always moping around depressed?"

"No reason..." He says.

"Look, Tae. I want to help. I'll give you the best advice I can muster. Just, please. Tell me what's wrong."

"Okay..." He sighs.

"So... When Junie went into the hospital I was scared. And when I went in to visit her and she didn't remember me, I snapped. I... I couldn't function right. That's why I was crying. And so, I told Yoongi hyung and he tried helping. But, Junie will never remember all of the things we have done together. All of the things I've done for her..."

"Wait. Do you-" I start.

"Yes. I like her. Sorry. Love her." He says.

"She makes me happy. I just wish she didn't get hit. I would rather have been hit if that means Junie would be perfectly okay."

"Wow." I say, speechlessly.

"Yeah. I just wish she would remember everything." He sadly says.

"Me too." I pat his back. "Me too..."

A/N: helloooooo. So I am writing this at 2am and I am struggling to keep my eyes open so imma make this short.
