I fell asleep that night with a heavy heart, having just attended the funeral of a family member. It wasn't someone I knew very well, but death always made me sad.

I blinked slowly as consciousness came to me in my dream state. I wasn't lying on the ground anymore but rather in another bed. Where the heck was I?

Well, the first thing I noticed was the cuffs and collar, much to my distaste. But...I didn't feel the chain. I tilted my head slightly, sitting up gingerly. I was still feeling weak from my low health.

"Oh, Y/N, you're back!"

I looked over and saw Dream sitting in a nearby chair. He looked relieved to see me.

What...I mean, where...where are we?

"Back in Frisk's house. We're in Papyrus's room."

That would explain the racecar bed. I chuckled. But that aside....where's Frisk? Is he okay? And where's the chain that was connected to me?

"I don't know, I hope so, and I managed to sever the chain with my blades while you weren't in them. I can't do anything about the collar and cuffs because they're a solid metal that is a higher enchantment than my blades or bow can break."

I shifted my wrists down under me and to the front. I sighed heavily. Thanks, Dream. This'll make things easier for me, at the very least.

He reached behind him and pulled out a candy bar. "I brought this back from the Omega Timeline earlier in case we managed to free you. You're more free than before, but not entirely so. I figured you'd want to be in better health before going out."

I took the candy bar and opened it with difficulty before munching on it. By the time I finished, my health had restored about 15 points.

17/20.

That's a powerful candy bar. I said lightly, putting the candy wrapper into the trash can next to Papyrus's bed.

Dream chuckled. "Indeed. Now, we should probably go find Frisk."

I nodded and hopped off the bed, stretching. It's nice to have my hands not behind me. At least I can do things sorta kinda.

Dream nodded and walked ahead of me out the door. How long have you been in here with these things? I asked curiously.

"Not that long, actually. I managed to subdue the entities that Papyrus had sent after me and raced into the forest where I'd heard Frisk shout from a while ago. There was no one there but your confinements in the webs. I cut them out and brought them back to the house about 30 minutes ago."

Yeesh, I must've been in those webs for hours, then. Or, well, my wonderful accessories, that is. I spent the day back home wearing long sleeves in summer so my family didn't see the injuries on my arms. I've worried them enough with my sudden appearance and disappearance of injuries over the course of several days.

Dream nodded slightly. "Understandable." He opened the door that led outside and went out with me close behind. Together, we looked around. The black and purple hue still covered everything around us. This is...concerning, really. What is with the colors?

"I'm not sure. I wasn't here when it became like this. Do you know where XGaster could be with Frisk?"

I tilted my head. There is that hill overlooking the city that he seemed to like hanging around on. Maybe there?

"Alright, let's head there, then."

We started walking at a fast pace towards the hill.

Dream?
