The next morning Shehryaar woke up offered salah, did his workout, took shower and then woke up Eda, who was still in deep slumber exhausted by crying all day long the previous day.

"Eda! Wake up, you'll get late for college, c'mon Fast!" He shook her lightly

She just hummed in response and covered her face with quilt

"Edaaa! Get up lazy!" He pulled the blanket off her face.

She opened her eyes, sat up and rubbed her eyes for few seconds.

"Eyeballs will pop out from the socket don't do that, do your morning routine and come out fast" he said sternly

And he left to the lounge where Alia was sitting alone busy in her phone, his mother was in bathroom.

"Ma...I wanted to talk to you" he said hesitantly

"Yes son. Tell me" she said and he sat besides her

"Eda is your daughter. You have every right on her. And I'm no one to school you about parenting. But Ma.... please don't do any violence on her. I heard you slapped her, please don't do that again Ma. She's too fragile, she won't be able to handle even a harsh finger on her. She cried badly all day and night." He said very respectfully

"Shehryaar even I don't wanna do any violence on her. She's my one and only child, my heart. But sometimes parents have to be strict too. She's very stubborn you don't know it yet. She holds the power to blow off a person's head & make him crazy. She's my daughter, but Shehryaar you, my son, I've always admired you since your childhood. I wish I had a son like you. And I can't see her exploiting your kindness." Alia explained caressing his head

"Thanks Ma. And I'm your son, but please don't do any violence, parents do have to be strict but not violent, it hurts the child mentally. I've experienced it that's why I'm requesting you" he said and Alia got it, cuz everyone who are close to Kazmi's know that Azhar has been violent to him since childhood.

Meanwhile Eda did what he said, came out of the room and saw everyone including Laiba already on the dining table.
She started taking baby steps towards the dining table.

"Why are you so late?" Alia asked in a rude tone

"Alia! What happened? I'm her saasu ma but you're behaving like one. Don't bother my pyaari bahu, come here bacche, sit with me" Maham immediately covered up making Shehryaar smile.

"I'm just teaching her manners bhabhi." Alia said

"She's not mannerless alright, she's just young, it takes time to get matured" Maham said

Eda sat besides Maham and she served her breakfast Eda started eating quietly not looking up.

"Eda, did you do all your assignments?" Laiba asked

"Yeah" Eda replied softly

"You didn't help me! Mine is still incomplete" she whined

"I didn't do it" Eda replied

"Then who did?" Laiba asked

Instead of saying anything Eda signalled towards him and Laiba widened her eyes.
