Chapter 3

Another day at work..i woke up today during fajar finished my prayer and started reading Qur'an after that I slept for sometime and woke up at 8 repeated my morning routine and decided to go for a light blue Abaya and white hijab

I ate chocos and milk (old schooled ik)
And left for the office and today was not as exciting as it usually was..mom asked me to come home early as someone was coming to see me.
I tried to clear my thoughts and move on with my day.
Same meetings, getting coffees for everyone..I prayed zuhur and it was nearing asr time when I got a call from mom..so i had to leave quickly so i grabbed my bag and was leaving when I felt a hard chest and a cold coffee all over myself and I shouted astagfirullah
I looked up to see it was none other than Zayan who was standing infront of me with the coffee cup and in his blue Armani suit..i just wanted to shout him but I was running late so I just left when he stopped me from moving and looked down and asked sorry I said it was alright and I quickly moved.
I reached my home in 20 minutes using uber and my mom was shocked to see me drenched in coffee.she said that the people who were coming to see me in 20 minutes so I rushed to my room i didn't know what to do so i dialed zaynab and asked her help.she was nearby and arrived shortly.she helped me get dressed in a beautiful Pakistani suit with a minimal makeup

I was done when I heard the car horn I felt nervous and almost fult pukish.i tried my best to act normal and it was the time Zaynab helped me inside i greeted everyone..i tried looking if he was there but I only saw 2 older people and aunty,uncle,a girl a little lesser in age than me and a boy who looked like around 24-26 years old.
I greeted everyone and abbu made me sit infront of them.aunty introduced as hamda Hakim and it clicked me Hakim industries the company I'm working in..i just prayed I wasn't gonna see that kadoos since i already had a coffee accident in the evening.
Ammi and everyone spoke when a tall figure in a blue suit entered i noticed the shoes and felt I've seen them before I looked up to confirm just once who it was when zaynab came to take me inside the room.i asked her if she saw anyone she replied with a yes and a smirk then they all stayed for dinner I had to stay in room as a certain someone was present and I couldnt see them but i pesterd zaynab to help me a Lil bit she said otherwise and we all finished dinner and they left back to their homes. I didn't want to ask ammi about what they spoke so I kept quite some time later zaynab's mom had called so she also left.
I closed my eyes for a min relaxed myself took a cold shower made wudu and prayed Isha and slept.
Next day morning I woke to fajar when ammi came and said that they said yes to the proposal but also wanted your opinion regarding this proposal I said I'll pray istaqarah and let them know. I wondered who it was and how did he say yes just once when he saw and i barely seen him. I started off my day as normal as i could I walked in and my eyes met zaynab's and she gave me a smile a smile which looked sassy and unexplainable I wondered what it was when i noticed a small flower bouquet on my desk along with a box of my favourite chocolate(lindt) and it read from ZH
I wondered who they were from when a sudden notification on my phone has me on hold..it was from hamda Aunty she had asked my mom from my mother and it was her and her son who had dropped off the flowers at my place. I was so curious to see who it was. When I was about the check the list of people in the company the team leader called me to go meet the CEO. I didn't want to meet that kadoos but I had no choice when suddenly a thought hit me ZH= Zayan Hakim i internally slapped myself and thought to myself a guy like him only a person with full sabr can handle him and i pray for her

I turn my heel walk towards his door just 2 steps bfr I had to check if there was gonna be any coffee incident like yesterday coz i decided to go for a creame shade and coffee stains= scolding from ammi

I knocked on the door and he said come in with his gaze down I placed the file down when he spoke: I'm sorry for the coffee accident yesterday as I was in a hurry to which i replied it was fine and mistakes happen and I was in a hurry too.
After an awkward silence he spoke again
So yesterday my family had come over to your place for my proposal and I had replied with a yes and my mom had also spoken to your mom regarding your decision as well so i just want to say that you didn't have to hurry to reply you can even say No and I'll take it.
He said all of this when looking down and never once looked in the eye.

I did not reply I just left the room.ik i shouldn't have have left him on read but i couldn't say anything so i quitely returned to my seat and it was time to leave but i wanted to invite zaynab over for a sleepover to get over the thoughts so I reached home prayed our prayers and we watched a cartoon movie and slept.
I didn't feel sleepy but zaynab had already dozed off.
And i thought it was time for me to pray the istaqarah prayer and see if the proposal was good I did as per how I was told to pray this salah and lay down on the bed when the words he said repeated line by line. I read the duas and slept i woke up to a good dream and sleep and spoke with Zaynab regarding the incident in the office and it was actually the zayan aka the kadoos I used to complain about
She asked if I liked him and i replied maybe.
It was breakfast when ammi had prepared pancakes as it was a Saturday morning and it was a day off at the office.
I gathered everyone from their rooms to the hall and said yes to the proposal
Everyone were surprised but it quickly disappeared and was ended by a hug from everyone when suddenly the phone call rang it was none other than Hamda aunty who called regarding the proposal

So how's the story going ik it's a Lil fast but I'll try to slow it down as well but this chapter is one of my fav ones..?
