Her Reprisal

CHAPTER 2

I woke up early dahil unang araw ng klase ngayon, alas sais palang ng umaga ay bumangon na ako tsaka pumasok sa banyo para maligo.

After I took a shower I immediately changed my clothes. I wore white sleeveless shirt paired with a bomber jacket, and black jeans.

Hinayaan ko lang ang buhok ko na nakalugay, matapos ko magbihis ay lumabas na ako ng kwarto at bumaba.

Pagkarating ko sa kitchen ay nandoon na si mom preparing our breakfast. I went to her and kissed her on the cheeks.

“Good morning mom,” I greeted her gleefully,

“Good morning baby,” She greeted me back and kissed my cheeks.

I helped her arrange the plates, utensils and food on the table when we heard footsteps coming towards our direction.

“Good morning my ladies,” My dad greeted us and went to us for morning kisses as well. We greeted him back before we settled ourselves to eat our breakfast.

“Today’s your first day of class Astrid, are you ready?” My mom asked,

“Well, kind of nervous but I’ll be fine. And yeah I’m ready.” I answered and slightly smiled at her,

“Gusto mo ba na ihatid ka na namin sa school mo?” Dad asked,

“Hindi na po, I can handle.”

“You sure?”

“Yep.” I gave him a reassuring smile, we continued eating our breakfast right after.

It's already 7:45 am and I'm currently driving to my school using my kawasaki ninja 400. Mas prefer ko ang mag motor kaysa sasakyan kasi kapag traffic at least nakaka lusot-lusot ako.

I am now in college and I’m taking civil engineering, my parents actually want me to take business ads para kapag mag retire na sila ay sa akin na ipamahala ang business nila.

My dad is the only business man actually, ‘cause my mom is a doctor, but she’s also helping dad with his business.

But thankfully my parents respected and understood my decision of wanting to be an engineer. When I was a kid becoming an engineer just popped into my mind out of nowhere, so I held on to that dream until now.

I arrived at school at exactly 8:20 am, my classes is still at 9:00 am pero inagahan ko talaga dahil ayoko ma late.

I hopped off my motorbike and went inside the school, my room is at room 101. Buti na lang talaga at inagahan ko, para naman mahaba-haba pa ang oras ko sa pag ikot at pag lilibot para hanapin ang room ko.

Minutes have passed and I finally found my room, it is on the 3rd floor of bldg.1, nasa labas palamang ako ay rinig ko na ang ingay sa loob.
Dahan-dahan kong pinihit ang door knob saka humakbang sa loob ng room, their stares shifted towards me.

I gave them an awkward smile before walking towards an available seat. They went back to what they’re doing as I settled down on a seat beside the window.

Pinagmasdan ko ang tanawin sa labas ng bintana habang naghihintay magsimula ang klase, when I felt someone sat beside me.

I looked at the person who sat there and saw a girl smiling at me.

“Hi,” she greeted me showing her white teeth, pwede na siya model ng colgate.

“Hello,” Ngumiti din ako sa kanya pabalik para hindi ako mag mukhang maldita.

Nilahad niya ang kamay niya sa harapan ko, as if asking for a hand shake.

“I’m Rae Alvarez, nice to meet you.” Tinanggap ko ang kamay niya at ngumiti din, syempre yung ngiti dapat parang nasa commercial din.
