The sisters were quite hesitant to go back to their old childhood home. Vanya's book and Annalise's willingness to leave along with her left the others with harsh feelings, and the Umbrella Academy's occupants were the world record holders for keeping grudges. They had been gone for over ten years, and Annalise wasn't so sure that she'd be able to handle being pushed away from her siblings she loved dearly. Though, there were other feelings harboring inside Annalise that she didn't want to face just yet, and she had a feeling they would rise to the surface once she's back within the walls of the Academy.

Notes bounced from the walls of the academy, dripping with pure emotion. Annalise was, yet again, lost in her world of music. This(aside from his god awful records the children had a knack for blocking out) was one of the few sounds their father actually didn't mind hearing all throughout his obnoxiously large home; when Annalise played on the old grand piano she came across or when Vanya would play on his wife's violin. So, he never stopped them, in fact, he passively-aggressively encouraged it.

The piano had been hidden in a room on the other side of the house, the room almost completely empty. It was beautiful really, it was overlooking the back garden area and had an entire wall of older glass panels making the room look open and flooded with light. Annalise loved the room, she spent more time in there than her own bedroom. You could often find Annalise in the room playing her beloved piano, napping on the small bench(somehow she fit on the whole thing?) or even on the floor in front of the window, or sometimes, you could find her reading over a piece that had been giving her trouble.

Five's ears perked up when he heard the classical music slowly drift into his room as it got louder as Annalise became more immersed in the piece. He made his way to the room he, as well, spent a good amount of his time in and leaned against the door frame, taking in the sight of her when she was most at peace.

The light from the window beside her had surrounded her and created this haze that made her look angelic. Her hands were flitting over the keys, putting all her energy into the melody. Her eyes were closed lightly as her body swayed along with the notes. She was playing Chopin's Nocturne opus 9 No. 2, and everyone knew that she played it beautifully. She played everything beautifully.

You could also often find Five in this particular room as well. He didn't mind that most people would correlate her with him. If Five is around, so is she. Sometimes he would be reading a book, listening to Annalise play, or watching her try to pick out a new piece, or sometimes, on a slow, sweet day, you could find the boy napping along with the small girl.

Five walked into the room and sat next to her, hoping that she wouldn't need to use her powers anytime soon. Five watched her small hands as they danced over the ivory keys and formulated the beautiful song. His eyes trailed up to see how her form started swaying along as the melody progresses. The song became more forceful and Five knew that it was coming to an end. Annalise hadn't even acknowledged him as he came into the room, she was far too deep into the music to notice. As Annalise softly played the last few notes of the song, her eyes opened. Five watched her eyes as she focused back into reality.

"That was beautiful Anna," he whispered, too scared to disturb the ambient feeling that surrounded them.

She smiled, silently thanking him. She walked over to the small bench that was beside the wall of windows and sat down, patting the seat beside her; Five followed and plopped down next to the small girl. She had resituated herself so that her head was in his lap and his arm had found its way to caressing her cheek.

"Were you there the whole time?" Annalise also whispered. Five started to stroke her hair.

"Most of it, I'd heard you from my room and figured I'd come to visit you."
