24. Betrayal

I was stabbed in the back by my only friend
I was fooled by how well he used to pretend
When he said, he got my back, on him, I could depend
I wanna go back in time to when it started
To instantly bring that new friendship to an end

I trusted him, only to be betrayed
And bleed where he stabbed me
He has cut my heart with a blade
Left me to drown in my own tears' sea

Befriended me, only to leave
When I needed him the most
He taught me it was a mistake to believe
I was already dead before drowning when I saw him smiling at the coast

If he had wanted me to suffer more
He could just have said so
From this dark room, he was my only exit door
I already would have died, seeing him go

He has made a big mistake now, and I will make him pay
I will follow him till the end, he can't get away
Now the tables have turned, and he is my prey
I will teach him a lesson, so he understands the hard way
It is a sin to betray

Hey there, depressed souls! Hope you guys don't mind it, this poem is one of my really old, rejected ones that I had to use because I am running low on poems. To be honest, I haven't wrote a poem in what feels like ages, I had been using my latest poems. Now that they all have been used, I had to turn to my old ones and fish out a presentable poem out of the stack.

But, I am trying to get past my rhymer's block. So, don't you all worry! It will go away soon...hopefully...

Anyways, Vote, Comment, and Share the poem if you liked it. Let me know your views on it.

Feel free to comment on any topic or idea upon which you would like me to write a poem because quite frankly, I have run out of ideas at the moment. The creative juices just aren't flowing.

Also, I have taken part in the contest 'Mythical Mirror' and submitted my poem on Medusa which I am pretty proud of. Head to my previous poem collection to read it or let me know if you are interested and I will publish it here as well (So that I can survive another weekly update while running dry on my poems).

See You Soon!
