A/N: so this story is almost like as if you (the readers) are in Neville's position in the first film.

Today was the first years' flying lesson, where they'll be taught how to fly responsibly and how to properly get on a broom.

Y/n has just gotten a package from her owl which contained a remeberall, a ball in which has smoke inside, if the smoke turns red it means the person who owns it must've forgotten something.

Y/n smiled at the present from an unknown person as she placed it in the pocket of her Gryffindor robes, patting it throughout the day to ensure that it hasn't been misplaced.

During flying lessons with Madame Hooch, she alongside Hermione, Ron and Harry has grabbed their brooms before standing together on their side of the line.

Everyone was instructed to practice bringing up their broom by saying "up" and holding their hand to catch it.

"Up!" You spoke firmly as the broom had met your grasp, you watched as Ron tried the same why while the broom came up to smack him in the face. Harry stifling a laugh at his friend's poor luck.

Then it was finally time to practice slowly going in the air, once everyone had gotten their brooms in their grasps.

You straddled the broom, expecting it to not go high while you're on it, as you started to fly a little higher against your will, Madame Hooch has firmly spoken to try to get you to come back down, but you didn't know how.

Once you were at least fifty feet in the air, your broom had a mind of its own and you lost any small amount of control you had. It had flown you upside down, side to side, acting crazed, before hooking your robe on the beater's goal that was on top of the castle, and was a statue of a man holding two swords above his head in an x shape. Your robes started to tear and before you knew it, you had fallen off of the building and straight onto the ground flat on your arm.

You whimpered as everyone in the class approached you, Harry looking most concerned for you, after all you were his best friend.

Madame Hooch examined your arm before walking you to the hospital wing, leaving the class unsupervised.

The remeberall must've rolled out of your pocket during your dangerous flight and gotten into the wrong hands belonging to Draco Malfoy.

Draco chuckled, juggling the glass ball in his hand, intriguing Harry before he realized it belonged to you.

"Give it here Malfoy." Harry spoke loudly, causing everyone to pay attention to the two enemies.

"No I think I'll put it somewhere y/l/n will have to find." He threw the balk in the air before catching it once more, sliding away on his broom.

Harry knew it would be wrong of him to get on the broom but you were his friend after all, and he couldn't let Malfoy get out of this.

Harry straddled the broom before taking off, shaky at first but started to follow Malfoy around in the air, Malfoy smirked before throwing the ball randomly in the air, Harry catching it before smiling to himself, lowering himself to the ground before raising it in the air, climbing off his broom and running to the cheering group of students.

He ran straight through them before going to the hospital wing, where Madame Hooch was walking out of.

"Potter, did you get injured too?"

"No, Madame, I just have y/n's remeberall, must've slipped out of her pocket." He said, staring at the ball.

"Very well, she's in there if you want to see her for the rest of the period." She nodded before walking back to further instruct the flying class.

Harry walked through the door and down the small walkway to where you lied awake on the bed, your arm wrapped up in a sling as your hair was messy, and dried tears all along your cheeks.

"H-Harry?" Your voice was shaky, the pain was still strong.

"Yeah, um, your remeberall fell out of your pocket." He said, handing you the ball, you smiled before taking it with your free hand.

"How's the arm?" He sat down in the seat beside your bed.

"It's broken, hurts pretty bad." You said, wincing as you sat up a bit straighter.

"I'm sorry."

"No it's just my luck, I'm extremely clumsy."

"Surely there was a jinx with your broom, no normal broom should act that way."

Y/n giggled, "maybe, or maybe it's just poor luck." Harry chuckled too, as the two continued making small talk until y/n was freed by Madame Pomfrey.
