157th Poem: Grey

10 3 2

I do favor grey

grey like the clouds in the sky

when a storm floats in

grey like a blanket

that warms you and your loved ones

when you all seek warmth

sometimes it's dreary

resembling lost hopes and dreams

wishes, teardrops, fears

it can connote the

happy one feels with a new car

grey like one smooth rock

or a short crayon

used in one's childhood drawings

worn because of art

grey like jerry's fur

in the classic cartoon show

 or danny phantom

grey like a tall pole

some fun kid stuck their tongue to

a pole that brings light

grey like squirrel fur

or the hue of aging hair

we are much the same

grey cannot compare

though it has many odd jobs

to remind you- share.
