I reached over Scarlett's body to her buzzing phone, slightly freaking out internally when I see my dad's face on the screen calling her. Shit. She looked so peaceful asleep, I mean, if you had a night like we did last night, you'd be fast asleep as well. I looked at the time and internally freaked out again. We fell asleep and could've gotten caught at any given second.

"Hello?" I whispered as I grabbed and answered Scarlett's phone. "Y/n? Hey, good morning is Scarlett feeling better?"

"Uh a bit, I think she's still under the weather, she's sleeping right now, I just came in to check on her like you asked." I quickly lied. "Thank you- I don't know if you've been outside or anything but, we're snowed in, the weathers pretty bad so, Cosmo and I are staying with your uncle Casey right now."

I peaked out the window after pulling back the curtain to see everything covered with snow outside. "Shit, well any idea when everything will let up? I still have to fly back to LA this week."

"Not sure but, we'll keep in touch, I can't really do much from afar but, since you're there can you make sure Scar's okay?"

"Yeah dad, no worries over here, I got her."

"Okay, well I'll see you when I see you, let her know I called when she wakes up. I love you."

"I love you too." I hung up the phone and smiled to myself. We're snowed in, my dad's about 2 hours away visiting my uncle and grandparents with Cosmo, Rose is still with Romain, and Scarlett and I have the house to ourselves because no one can really get anywhere at the moment due to the weather. Couldn't have scripted this any better.

I decided to go downstairs and make Scarlett breakfast because breakfast in bed is a classic, especially after the treat she gave me last night. Scarlett and I haven't had a day to ourselves like this in a while so this will be much needed. No work, no distractions, and I got to wake up with her in my arms.

I grabbed a tray and set everything up nicely on it and headed upstairs where I found Scarlett still fast asleep. I smiled to myself as I sat the tray down and pulled the curtains back a little bit before going over to her side of the bed. I began to pepper kisses on her face, making her stir awake. Her beautiful green eyes fluttered open and she cracked a smile as I stood up and turned to grab the tray as she sat up in bed.

"Good morning sleeping beauty, an assortment of fruit, waffles, your choice of protein, and more awaits you." I sat the tray over her legs as she pouted her lips and looked up at me. "Babe you didn't have to do all of this."

"I didn't but I wanted to. My dad is snowed in so he won't be back for a while, we have the house to ourselves, I don't have to work, your schedule is clear, we can finally have more than a few hours alone for once." I leaned over, careful not to knock anything over, and tried to connect our lips but Scarlett swerved me. "No no, morning breath."

"Oh come on-" I chuckled.

"I'll be right back." she smiled as she set the tray aside and quickly went out the room and to her bathroom.
.  .  .

For most of the day, Scarlett and I lounged around the house enjoying each other's company and the quiet, empty home. We currently sat in the den after showering together and I don't think you need much context to that.

I had my legs opened as Scarlett sat between them, her back on my chest as I held her in my arms as the fire crackled. "You know, somehow, I knew we'd always cross paths again after that night- even before I figured out Colin was your dad- I just, I knew for some reason I'd see you again, of course I'd hoped it'd be under different circumstances but it is what it is." Scarlett said as she let out her cute giggle.

"Yeah, I thought about you a lot for a while but I didn't feel the need to wrap myself up in thinking about you too much because well, you're you- I thought that was it for me."

"And here we are." She whispered as nuzzled up to me. We laced our fingers together before I brought her hand up to my lips, placing a soft kiss on it making her blush. We laid in silence before picking up the conversation again, Scarlett telling me more about her family, how badly she'd want to introduce me to them, and where she envisioned she'd be in life right now.

"I for one expected myself to have the bachelor lifestyle, going woman to woman, playing at the top of my game, no worries in life but, somehow, that all changed and died out and I think everything is better than the expectations I set for myself. I didn't expect to be in love with you and have my life looking as it does right now."

"What?" Scarlett smiled as she sat up and looked me in the eyes. I gave her a questioning look and it hit me what I just said. "Shit- I-"

"You what?" Scarlett egged me on and I couldn't help but to get a bit shy. I hid my face with the pillow which she quickly grabbed as a smile plastered on her face. "I love you, Scarlett. And I know we're in a tough position but, there's no denying that from the first time I'd ever laid eyes on you, I wanted to know you and learn more about you and over the past few months or so, it's become so evident to me that I don't want anyone else because I love you. I'd realized this for some time now I just-"

"I love you too." She whispers softly before pressing her lips to mine. Our kiss was slow and full of passion, we both pulled away, our foreheads pressed against one another's before she said those three words again. "I love you." I couldn't help but to smile again as I pulled her body into mine.
