▶ Senõrita ~ Shawn Mendes

Jungkook flung open the door to his new apartment, excited to begin his final year at Seoul National University aka SNU.

"Ah, the sweet taste of freedom!" He sighed then inhaled deeply, a big grin lifting his rosy cheeks.

One by one he got his luggage, huffing when he finally managed to drag the last box in. The movers only piled his stuff into the elevator and then left. Ah well, it was worth what he paid them anyway.

Slapping his hands together, he stood in the middle of the small living and looked around proudly.

His new part time job ensured he could afford the rent off campus. He was ecstatic as he didn't have the deadlines which came with living in the dorms.

"Aaah, finally, I get my own private bathroom!" He laughed, spinning around.

Shared toilets were pretty disgusting in all boy dorms.

He walked about the partly furnished and light studio apartment, opening the windows. The building stood in a gated community and the owner seemed too nice. He didn't want to rent out the space to college students knowing how rowdy they are. But since Jungkook would be staying alone, the man caved.

It was a dream come true! Although Jungkook may or may not have tried to charm him with his bunny smile and doe eyes.

Sometimes he liked to use his pretty privilege.

He needed to buy some things like a chair, coffee table and perhaps a sofa. He already had a spacious wardrobe, bed and a small shelf in the corner of the bedroom.

The bedroom was separate, with a partition between the living room and the kitchenette. It came with a water filter, fridge and an electric stove. It was too good for the rent he paid.

Jungkook couldn't be more satisfied.

His phone rang, making him stop in the middle of opening the cabinets to gauge storage space.

"Evening, Joon Hyung."

"Hey Kook, did you get settled in? Do you require help? Tell me if you want anything?"

"Yeah, I do need to shop for some odds and ends, but I think I'll rent the furniture online. It's only for a year, I could return it instead of buying it."

"Okay. And if you run out of food, come to our place anytime, yeah? Don't hesitate!"

Jungkook felt warm at his concern.

"Don't worry Joon Hyung, I will. Besides, I'm sure I'll be busy with my final year and my job as assistant counselor! I'm very happy, I'll learn a lot with Minho Ajhussi!"

He loved spending time at the Kim's residence, his Hyungs spoiled him a lot.
Seokjin owned a famous restaurant and Namjoon was a successful lawyer. They were off on a lot of trips but whenever they were home, both made sure Jungkook visited.

"I'm proud of you, you know? You're surely going to make a difference to all of your patients once you start your own practice." Namjoon's praise made his self esteem swell a size.

"Thanks, Hyung. Anyway, I gotta go now, I'm going to a pub with a couple of classmates, catching up after summer break."

"Don't get too drunk and be safe, okay Kook?"

"I'm twenty one Hyung, there's no need to baby me anymore. I'll be safe though, don't worry!" Jungkook laughed.

With that, he ended the call.

Sighing at the partial mess, he realised there was a lot of work to do, to settle in completely. He decided to unpack later and just shower and dress for his night out.

He zipped open his bag which revealed nothing but dark clothing, and picked out a trusted outfit. He found his toiletries and laid out some simple jewellery.

Not that he needed the extra effort, Jungkook had always been a walking chick magnet since high school.

College was no different. He had his fair share of one night stands and friends with benefits, the latest one being his best friend from the dance department. He smiled to himself and wondered if he could call him over tonight.

Jimin would certainly not refuse. He always needed an escape from living with his parents.

Another perk of living alone! He could bring anyone over without having to think about time, space or roommates.

The water ran hot as he adjusted the temperature, stepping into the relaxing steam. Jungkook sighed, letting it soothe his taut muscles. His motorcycle gave him stiff shoulders at times but he liked it better than a car because he could zip through traffic and it was less hassle.

He broke out into a song, cleansing the dirt out with his loofah.

I love it when you call me Senõrita,
I wish I could pretend I didn't need ya!
But every touch is ooh lalala,
It's true lalala,
Ooh I should be running,
Ooh you keep me coming for ya!

Land in Miami
The air was hot from summer rain
Sweat dripping off me
Before I even knew her name, la-la-la
It felt like ooh, la-la-la
Yeah, no...

Jungkook abruptly stopped singing.

Someone else was singing the verse!

He would be an idiot if he didn't acknowledge that angelic voice. It was deep and baritone and so perfectly in tune, it made him blush a bit.

Definitely a male voice.

Sapphire moonlight,
We danced for hours in the sand
Tequila sunrise,
Her body fit right in my hands lalala
It felt like ooh lalala

Smiling, he rejoined the smooth, beautiful, disembodied voice in the chorus.

After, it was starkly silent.

Maybe the person was done showering?

Jungkook turned off the water, grabbed his towel and stepped out. The unexpected situation made him chuckle.

The neighborhood was quiet, away from the main roads, that they could hear into other flats easily, especially music and loud tv and dogs barking.

It would mean his sexcapades would have to be kept on the down low if he wanted to keep his home.

He dressed quickly seeing as he only had ten minutes to reach the venue before his classmates started to blow up his phone.

He liked being fashionably late.

He put some lipbalm and blow dried his hair, fidgeting with the dryer cord. Giving himself a once over in his phone camera since he didn't have a mirror yet, he grabbed his keys and stepped out into the starry night.

His thoughts still on the partial encounter with one of his neighbours, if he could be called that. It was definitely someone from the floors above or below him or the flat next to him.

Could it be another student?

It could also be some crazy weirdo who liked to listen to people showering.

Jungkook suddenly felt stupid for singing along. But he couldn't possibly forget the voice. Maybe he could go around asking for something dumb like sugar, to all of his neighbours and see if he could find someone with that voice?

Get it together Jungkook, it was probably a prank!

He crossed the red light and turned into the driveway of the hotel which had the little club at its basement.

He waved at his classmates standing outside by the entrance and promptly forgot about the melodious stranger.
