The next few days were uneventful, an extreme contrast to the previous action-packed ones.
Jungkook went to college, went to his job, did his assignments and slept. It was like clockwork and he was bored. He hadn't hung out with his friends.
Jimin was busy with some auditions, Yoongi was on a cruise with his family, his Hyungs were busy with their own lives and Taehyung wasn't even in the country, off in the Phillipines.
Tae hadn't texted in a while. He had posted on his Instagram though and Jungkook had saved the picture to his private collection.
He was thinking about going to his Mum's. It would be a nice change but then, it would mean disturbing his attendance and losing a few days off his paycheck.
He had already lost several due to his leg injury and exams. Minho was understanding but that didn't mean he got paid.
Jungkook wanted to do an online course which Harvard was offering on clinical psychology. It was expensive but it would give him an authentic certificate. Ivy certification would look brilliant on his profile.
The registration could be paid with his current savings but the coursework material access needed additional payment. He couldn't afford to lose any of the pay, with his rent and everything. He considered taking up another job so that he could save up for it.
He was punching the boxing bag. His knuckles ached and he was drenched in sweat.
His focus wavered when his phone rang.
Wiping his face with a towel, he walked to the kitchen and saw it was Yoongi.
"Ssup, Yoongs? I'm surprised you called."
"I need a favour."
"Straight to the point then," Jungkook chuckled.
"It's Jimin's birthday soon."
"I know."
"Also, he didn't make it in the audition so he was a bit upset. I'm thinking of throwing a surprise party for him."
"Aww Yoongs, look at you all soft for my Chim!"
"Don't push it Jeon, I know where you live now."
"Fine fine, I'm sorry. So, what did you have in mind?"
"I'm taking my dad's yacht."
Jungkook whistled. He sometimes forgot how rich Yoongi and Taehyung were.
"Jimin is gonna freak."
"The point is, I only want to invite people closest to Chim, that includes his parents. You know everyone he knows and I'm giving you the responsibility of inviting them."
"Okay! Anything else you need me to do?"
"Yeah. Don't wish him."
"Eh what?"
"Yeah. Make him think we forgot his birthday. Tell everyone else to do the same. Then, get his parents to take him out. You will tell them the plan and they're to bring him to the pier where we'll all be on the boat. I want the surprise to be fantastic."
Jungkook smiled. Yoongi really wanted to make his Chim happy.
"Okay. And the cake and everything? Should I ask Jin Hyung?"
"Sure. We're going to spend the night on the yacht. It's got two cabins. We'll put his parents in one. I don't think we'll be sleeping anyways. There's going to be fireworks from the boat."
