I've always wished I had a twin– Tiwa

Mummy and Samuel did the most preposterous thing today. The worst thing they have ever experimented in this house.

They went for dinner.

And locked us up in the house.

They literally took the keys. I mean how old are we? 4??

Tiwa leaves her spot by the window and comes back to the dining table, her face contorted in a frown.

"The gate man is still awake," she informs me.

"Why did they lock us if the gate man is around?" I wonder. It's around 6:30 but we're in the season of longer days so it's still pretty bright. I step into the kitchen and start rummaging for food.

"Is there anything?" Tiwa calls from the dining.

"Just fufu and egusi," I reply.

"Haba! They go for dinner at Radisson Blu and leave us with fufu and egusi," she cries. I can't help but laugh, this is the most I've spoken to her in a while but it's like we've been friends forever.

"See Osas, I can't eat that food o," she says, suddenly serious. I look at her through the kitchen door, amusement all over my face.

"Why? It's not that bad, I'll just warm it. It'll be enough for both of us."

"Abeg throw it back into that freezer. When they come back they'll eat it," she waves me off. I place my hands on my hips.

"So what will we nau eat?"

"Jollof and fried rice with Pepsi," she replies immediately.

"Are you crazy? There's no ingredient for stew."

"We won't cook it nau. Do I look like someone that was born to cook?"

"No ma," I laugh. "So what, we'll order it?"

"We're getting out of here to buy it."

"Ah, Tiwa you're gone," I roll my eyes and chuckle. I turn back around and focus on warming the soup.

"I'm serious, I know a spot we can pass that the gate man won't see us," she insists, suddenly standing next to me.

"Let's just eat–"

"I'll go either way, so you decide if you want to eat jollof and Pepsi or fufu and egusi. Because I'm not bringing anything back home."

I pause and study her. She actually look quite serious, and if by some universal intervention she does succeed...jollof will always beat fufu.

"Alright fine where is it?"

According to Tiwa, we needed to look the part. So I ditched my pink top and wore Yamil's hoodie. I don't think I'll return this hoodie back to him, it's grown on me. Plus he seems to enjoy seeing me wear it.

Tiwa does a double take when she sees me come outside.

"That's not yours? Is it your boyfriend's?"
