All I want is an acknowledgment,
a certainty,
an assurance,
I don't know– something,
to convince me that you'll always be by my side.
Never have I thought that what I ask was too much,
until you walk out the door,
and walked out of my life,
like I was a disease you needed to get away from,
like you never thought that I was worth your time,
like I was just another reckless decision you made.
You never planned to stay, did you?
