"Who said that ?". I asked.
"Ohh , it was me , Anna ". The person said through Alex's phone.
She sounded as if she was pretty in person.
"Ohh , hi ". I said trying not to sound so shy .
"Thank you Beth , I owe you one ". Alex said .
He grabbed his bag and ran out of the assembly hall so excited . I walked out the assembly hall in a sad way.
I went into the lounge thinking Jake wasn't in there , but he was .
He saw me and my sad face and asked "What's wrong ?".
"I didn't know you were in here ". I said.
"Well I am . Why are you sad ?". He asked .
"Its nothing important ". I said .
"We can start back again if your ready ? " . I said .
"Was it that Alex guy ?". He asked .
I didn't say anything and then he said "It was ". He said.
I was going to say something when someone opened the door .
It was Alex , Cathy and Ally.
"Beth , can you explain to me why Alex was running out of the school ?". Cathy asked.
"I told you , Beth said I could go ". Alex said.
"I told him he can leave ". I said .
"See I told you ". Alex said .
"Well we say no ". Cathy said.
"All you want to do is go see your girlfriend ". I said.
"Ugh , so what if I want to ". Alex said .
They slapped Alex 's head and said "Don't you care about Beth 's feelings ".
"We are not together . We won't have worked ".
"Guys , just let him go. If he wants detention from Mrs. Carson, let him go ". I said grabbing there attention from there heated conservation.
"Fine ". Cathy said after looking at Alex for awhile.
"Thank you ". He said and left . But Cathy and Ally pulled him back in and said "And he is WAY cuter than you ".
"Whatever ". Alex said and left .
Cathy and Ally left as well and I closed the door and turned to Jake.
"Uhh , that was something ". He said .
"I am sorry you had to see that ". I said .
"Was that the Alex guy ?". He asked.
"Yeah ". I said in a not so great way .
"What ever happened to you two ?".
"Its a long story ". I said .
"I have time ". He said .
I looked at the time and I said "No , you do not ".
"Come on , please ?" . He begged.
"If we finish all of our work today , I will tell you ". I said .
"Okay , but over what ?".
"What do you mean over what ?". I asked .
"Over lunch , dinner , ice cream ?". He asked .
"Ohhh . I dont know maybe after school we can get some ice cream ". I said suggesting .
"Okay ". He said and we got back to work .
Once it was lunch , I went to the assembly hall and got my lunch . I came back into the lounge and Jake was there .
"You finished your lunch already ?". I asked .
"No , I have it . I didn't want to stay in the cafeteria cause a lot of girls were flirting with me and I find it uncomfortable". He said .
"You find it uncomfortable ?". I asked surprised .
"Yes ". He said.
"You were flirting with me when we met this morning ".
He just laughed and I laughed too .
We ate our lunch while we got to know each other more.
I found out there is more to him than him being a bad boy .
Once we were done , we got back to work.
By the time school was done , we finished all the work that was suppose to get today . We got into the next 's day lesson.
Jake got his things and I went to get my things.
We went to the front and I went to Ally and Cathy .
"Hey guys ". I said .
"Alex left us with his car ". Cathy said.
"We can drop you guys at home ?". I suggested.
"We ?" . Ally and Cathy said at the same time .
"Jake is taking me to get ice cream ". I said .
"Ohh okay ". Cathy said.
We all walked over to Jake and I said "Can we take Cathy and Ally to my house cause Alex took his car with him ?". I asked .
"Sure ". He said.
We all got in and drove to my house.
We dropped Ally and Cathy off and went to get some ice cream .
When we got there , I saw he took us to DQ.
When we got inside , we ordered our ice cream. Once we got it , we got a seat and he took a bite of his ice cream and said "So , explain ".
And then I told him the whole story .
When I was done , he said "Wow ".
"Yeah ". I said
"So much to take in ". He said
"Yep ". I said poping the 'p' after I took a bite of my ice crean .
"Do you still like him ". He asked .
I froze at what he said that .
