Chapter 75.1 ~ Ambush

After a night of rest, Leon's anger had slightly subsided after he was able to control his anger better.

Last night, he got mortified when he heard Pavel saying he wanted Leon's beloved lovers as his plaything. It was enough that Leon's bloodlust ended up raging out of his body due to not being able to hold back his anger.

Vyra, Silverio, and the other members of the intelligence squad immediately trembled and started sweating profusely, unable to withstand Leon's bloodlust. Pavel and his father, on the other hand, wasn't able to notice it since their senses were blocked by greed and lust.

As Leon met his friends in the morning, he immediately bowed to them.

"Forgive me for my behavior last night. I wasn't able to control my anger due to what those men said. I'm sorry."

"It's fine darling, I'm also angry at them when I heard it. Instead, I'm really happy that you feel that angry."

"Uhn, it means you love us a lot right?"

They then began preparing their equipment and waited for Iris to pick them up to purify the mansion.

Because Aria was worried, she asked Iris to bring several royal guards to accompany Leon and the others and protect them during the mansion purification. She wanted to join him at first, but Iris, Alvis and her father managed to talk her out of it with the condition of Iris coming as well.

After they were done with preparations, Crimson Lightning and Iris went to the place where the carriage was and the royal guards.

However before they depart, Aria suddenly appeared.

"Your highness, why are you here?"

"Your highness?"

"Leon, Iris, and everyone. Please be careful and come back safely. In all honesty, I want to join you in this mission... However I'm not versed enough in offensive magic to be of help, nor do I have skills with a sword like my brother. I am powerless... The only thing I can do... is to pray for your safety."

Aria, who usually always has a smile on her face especially when she was with Leon, looked sad and anxious. Her usual radiant aura was overcast with anxiousness and gloom.

"Please do not worry, your highness. We will surely come back safely. I promise you this. So don't be sad and wait for the good news... Okay, Aria?"

Leon couldn't stand seeing Aria like this. Although he hasn't realised it, he felt the same thing as when a man saw the woman he loves crying and wanted to comfort her. He felt happy that Aria was worried for him and his friends, however he still wanted her to be like her usual radiant self. Thus he comforted her with the gentlest smile.
